“I can’t say enough about how supportive they are with helping you with your babies. I ordered two ducks and one died shortly after getting her. They refunded me the cost and rushed two more babies so my other duck would not be lonely. They are awesome!”

“I was super nervous about ordering chicks online, especially with our stellar USPS service here *sarcasm*. My pet chicken was great about communication with shipping and our chicks came healthy and happy. Would totally order from them again! Had to pick up at postal office, and ours in town never answers the phone so that was the only negative.”

“This was my third order of live chicks from My Pet Chicken. Out of a total of 65 chicks ordered, only 3 have died in transit. We live in north Georgia and have received two of the orders the day after they shipped. In fact our post office called to say our last order was there for pickup before I even received the email that they had shipped. My only complaint would be that our last order of 38 chicks included 4 roosters and it would have been nice for them to have been marked. I cannot speak to the accuracy of the 38 chicks in the last order, but the first two orders were both sexed correctly. I will continue to use this company in the future when I need to order sexed chicks.”

Hi Kristina, Thank you so much for your adorable picture! We absolutely love hearing our customer's chicks arrive safely! The reason that all our breeds are not banded is due to them being easier to tell apart from other breeds. Also the hatchery tries to get everyone's orders out as quickly as possible, so they do not have time to band every bird. We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, but happy to hear everyone arrived correctly sexed.

“I have ordered baby chicks from MPC 4 or 5 times. They always come healthy and happy. I love being able to purchase a variety of breeds giving me a really varied and pretty egg basket when they start laying. Once I ordered from a different company and it was a bit cheaper but I had much less choice of breeds, I had to order many more chicks for shipment (so I had to go in with friends), and those chicks were definitely not as healthy as MPC chicks. I absolutely love MPC customer service which includes live help for questions and guidance for which breeds would work for me. The website is so educational and I’ve used it many times and I’ve recommended MPC to any friends who are starting their backyard chicken owning adventure. This is my 9th year and the majority of my hens have come from MPC. My new 15 babies are 3 weeks old and growing perfectly. They will be great layers next spring.”

“I love My Pet Chicken. As a new chicken owner, it has been invaluable to have their customer support available for navigating all kinds of issues as I get familiar with caring for these birds. Also the 6-week-old pullets that I have bought from them have been wonderful. They seem awake and present, as if they know or expect that there is a caring person there to take care of them. This speaks to how they are treated in the first weeks of their lives and how they understand humans. By contrast i have ended up adopting some stray chickens (it’s a long story) and when they have voluntarily joined my flock it seems they have to learn that the humans can be trusted. Meanwhile my girls, all from My Pet Chicken, help them shift to the new understanding. I love My Pet Chicken’s approach of love and care for these beings who produce eggs for us and also bring companionship, rather than seeing them as merely livestock.”

“I would HIGHLY recommend My Pet Chicken! What a wonderful experience! We just bought our very first chicks and I was so nervous about them coming in the mail. I was kept informed about what to expect and what to do for their arrival. Customer service was very thorough at answering any of my questions. The chicks hatched on a Monday and they arrived the very next day safe and sound. They were so perky right out of the box and their little noises…so cute! They are just over a week old now and they are perfect and very healthy. We love them and I would definitely use My Pet Chicken again.”

“Absolutely stellar service and gorgeous chicks! They came healthy and happy and have been thriving the past week we’ve had them. I ordered 6 total chicks and five different breeds and they are all gorgeous. I do wish I knew who was who but I’m sure as they are older and fully feathered that will be easier to determine.
