“I recently ordered my second, round Halo mirror despite the price haing increased since purchasing the first at the end of last year. When my electrician installed it today I thought I'd been sent the wrong mirror as it was not motion sensor like the first. Having phoned customer service I was told that it was the same mirror but was now touch screen and had other features. I specifically chose it again because it was motion sensor so to find it isn't means I'm very disappointed. The web site does not make it clear the spec has changed.”
“Description of the product stated '150mm clearance required for switch operation'. When mounted in portrait orientation the switch is in the bottom right hand corner. The four fixing screws are on the sides. This means 150mm clearance is required on the edges. Meaning the product cannot be mounted against a wall.”
“We ordered an LED mirror on line. The web site was easy to use and the mirror arrived the next day. However we were not happy with the quality and decided to return it immediately. There was a 10 x magnification section within the face of the mirror. This was a different colour to the main mirror and looked like mirrored card. A panel was stuck on the back with tape; this had come away in transit but we were able to re stick it. The returns process was confusing to me. Reasons for the return was asked for. I put 'not happy with the quality' and I was told I could not have a refund. I phoned and spoke to a very helpful person in the office and I should have ticked 'no longer needed' to trigger a refund. I was then emailed with permission to return the mirror with a return mirror to put inside the box. By that time I had packaged and resealed the box so had to reopen/seal the box. Frankly I found the returns process a bit of a faff. The quality issues and the confusion about returns would put me off purchasing from this company. However the person in the office was very helpful and I have now received my refund so all's well that ends well.”
“No fitting instructions for the mirror nor a template to mark the wall for drilling made the Mirror installation much more time intensive than really necessary.”
“The sizes in the leaflet and instructions for the aperture are about 5-6mm out. Not particularly helpful when you’re creating a recess to fit the cabinet. The unit itself looks good but if you’re gonna publish dimensions you need to make sure they’re accurate”
“Ordered a mirror then realised I could get 10% off using a code which after on-line messaging was kindly honoured - great service. Only downside was screws and raw plugs were loose in the box but haven’t damaged the mirror also there are footprints on the box, luckily it is well packaged.”
“Item was advertised as on sale at £94.99 reduced from £199.00. However at checkout with code came up at £119.99. Spoke with pebble grey who said it was advertised at old price just to keep it alive online as out of stock even though advertised as in stock. Item arrived in 2 days !!! Great delivery but poor sales team and advertising is misleading”
“We haven't had this fitted yet but I loved the look and size of the item and thd potential to remove an ugly shaver socket from a bathroom. It seems a good price and the delivery and service from the company were great. Our electrician expressed concern over the products compliance to UK standards regarding the shaver socket element and after communicating with the service support team this issue has been resolved. I'm now looking forward to this being fitted as part of a bathroom refurbishment.”
“My honest view follows. It arrived promptly, next day actually, top marks. Except for a tiny hairline mark on the glass,amazing..again top marks. Their description of the goods, whilst very clear to Pebble Grey staff, is incredibly misleading to the customer. Poor marks for that, i'm afraid. To the everyday ordinary customer, most of whom have an outdoor security light, a light with a sensor indicates that when you approach, maybe within 6/9 feet, the sensor identifies your approach, and turns on the light...simple!! But not at Pebble Grey. They know exactly what a light sensor is, but unfortunately don't understand that that isn't what their customer thinks it is. To them, a sensor turns on the light when the customers hand is approx 3/4 inches away. No attempt to mislead the customer, it's just a perception thing. But they do need to make it clearer as once the electric cable is hanging out from a hole in the wall, and all the plastic plugs to hold it are installed, the customer isn't in a position to return it.”
“Product arrived fast, well packaged and complete. I was just more than a little peeved to find that you are selling it £20 cheaper on Amazon and eBay. It used to be more cost effective to cut out the middleman and go direct. Obviously this is no longer the case and you prefer to lose some of your profit to third parties.”
“Good delivery. Product seems well made and mirror is true. Marked down for ease of installation. Nightmare to install as it is one piece and very heavy. You have to drill two holes (Be very very accurate!) and lift the (Very heavy) mirror on blind, cannot see or feel screws. Installation is assumed to be first time install, mine was retrofit. Had to drill holes in the frame to thread the cable through for a side entry. The electronics box was in the way Sited in bottom left corner. Expected the infra red switch and the shaver socket to be in the same place, they’re not. (The other mirror I fitted last year was in two parts Which made life so much easier. Fix frame with electronics and wire up - then attach the mirror. Everything in view)”
“Sham! Illumination is from a strip of LEDs around a metal box. They give peripheral light and also shine through a translucent strip that surrounds the mirror. The LEDs are not encased in the surrounding strip per a previous mirror I bought. It looks good with the demister and proximity sensor working well But it is mutton dressed as lamb.”
“Arrived in good time. Sadly the quality wasn’t quite as good. Fitted the unit and my partner went to open the door and sliced her finger on a sharp piece of metal that was sticking out underneath the lip. I have since filed this off, but it as though there was little quality control.”
“The mirrors look great and generally work fine. However, having the sensor at the bottom of the mirror doesn't work in our case. Because the surface below the mirror is tiled, this tricks the sensor and it either doesn't turn on when needed and also turns on and off when the shower is in use. That's not really helpful as it should be designed to work effectively in steamy environments. We had no such issues with our previous mirrors where the sensor was on the side of the mirror.”
“We liked the products (bathroom cabinets) and they were delivered OK, the problem is the discounts offered after you have bought the products makes you feel you have over-paid.”
