“Nimbus 500x700mm LED Bathroom Mirror Service from Pebble is always good but this product is a nightmare from a fitting point of view, firstly there is no cavity behind the unit for the cable to sit making it very difficult to fit on a tiled wall, I had to channel so much tile out to create a cavity for the wire to sit in, which is just loads of unnecessary dust and risk in a newly finished bathroom. Secondly the brackets are so so awkward to do on your own (which a-lot of us bathroom fitters are) the main bracket is not removable, and there is no adjustment at all. Thirdly the door is not removable which makes the cabinet super heavy to offer up on your own. Other models have a flexible cable that you can un plug and quick release door hinges which work so much better, makes it about half the weight and is also far better from a reliability point of view once fitted as the cable wont stretch over time, they also have a far better bracket system thats far more user friendly and also adjustable (Grace Bluetooth LED Bathroom Mirror) Back to the awful Nimbus cabinet- So you have to firstly hold a heavy cabinet against a wall, secondly somehow arrange the wire to sit within the wall and thirdly align your screw holes and screw the bracket in, then hope that its level. (As we all know holes can move by tiny amounts in the drilling/plugging process hence why pretty much all wall hung products have adjustability) Ive fitted many bathrooms over the years & consequently fitted many of these LED mirrors/ LED mirrored cabinets and have never had one so difficult to work with, and cannot get over how this design passed through to sale Im not one for doing reviews and will normally just get on with fitting and be done, but this particular product really wound me up because its such a collaboration of mess ups which in turn makes the fitting process extremely aggravating and time consuming. Especially when you are paying a premium price for the product, I really expected better.”
“Description of the product stated '150mm clearance required for switch operation'. When mounted in portrait orientation the switch is in the bottom right hand corner. The four fixing screws are on the sides. This means 150mm clearance is required on the edges. Meaning the product cannot be mounted against a wall.”
“Lovely mirrors, fast delivery. Really pleased with the four that we ordered. Great company - recommended by our electrician. Only wish that the Kali came in silver..”
“Received my mirror in just over one day but was very disappointed to find it smashed with the packaging part cut open. Sent for a replacement and was pleased to find this arrived very quickly and in good order. The mirror is now hanging in place and looks very nice”
“DO NOT BUY!!! DANGEROUS AND SUBSTANDARD
I had two 'Cali Black' mirrors from them, both failed. The first lasted for around 2 months before falling off its supports, the second barely an hour. The original hanging was done by the plumber as part of a bathroom refurb (4 fixings, flush with wall e.g. no issue there). There is a serious quality control issue with the way the support bars are fixed to the back of the mirror (grab adhesive).
When it fell it left live electrical wires exposed and damaged our bathroom worktop and tiles. They're heavy mirrors so could have caused serious injury if it falls on a foot.
I will however also say their customer support (Evie) so far has been very responsive and helpful, full marks there but I didn't buy the mirrors for the customer support they provide.”
“Pebble Gray Isla Frameless Mirror. From ordering to delivery very efficient and competent. Having received one bathroom mirror as advertised on website.which was perfect for the purpose, decided to order identical product for En Suite. Completely satisfied. Thank you.”
“The mirror is great, gives a good light and the three lighting options are useful. Looks very nice - will say the Champagne colour looks more coppery than gold, but is pretty.”
“The cabinets arrived they were packed really well and they are a great product, I put one in the family bathroom and one in the en-suit, they look great.”
