Pets in Peace Review My best friend passed away on Sunday 26th September 2021 and I was referred to Pets in Peace by the treating vet. 27/09/21 I received a call from a representative on Monday who appeared empathetic, informative, and left me with a good understanding of what the next steps were and what actions were required of me. Following the call, I proceeded to complete my actions which included selecting the wording for plaques and certificates and choosing an urn and cast design. During this process I contacted Pets in peace twice to clarify/discuss the following: • Wording limits (Certificate & plaque/tags) • Urn size • Paid $195 advance for the cast as was advised by the operator that this was a third party • Gave the go ahead to commence cremation • Collection of ashes - timeframe (5 days) and confirmed/agreed that I would pick-up the remains myself from the Clontarf office 30/09/21 Received an SMS to contact Pets in Peace to make contact to discuss the return of my boy. Impressed by the quick turnaround, I contacted the number only to be told by the operator that she wanted to confirm if it was okay to proceed with the cremation. I informed the operator that I had already covered this on the 27thSeptember I was informed that it may have been missed however they would now proceed with the cremation however they have a backlog, and I was now looking at the 10th or 11th. Whilst the delay was not great, I accepted the new timeframe and asked the operator to confirm the pickup location which did not appear to be on file as she now started telling me about delivery dates from Ipswich. I again reiterated that I would pick-up the ashes myself from the Clontarf office. I also asked to be notified once the ashes were ready for pick-up I then proceeded to check if the plaque and certificate information was received and understood and received a response indicating that listening was not a strength, so I ended the call. 11/10/21 I contacted Pets in Peace to enquire about my boy’s ashes and was advised that it has been delivered to Clontarf. When I asked the gentleman why I was not notified as requested he suggested that rather than find out why I was not notified, he should call ahead and tell the Clontarf office that I was coming as it was already 4:30pm and they close at 5:00pm. I then made my way as fast as possible to Clontarf and reached at 5:00pm where the lady was expecting me and provided me with my boy’s remains. Up until this point, whilst annoyed, I was appreciative that the lady at Clontarf was pleasant, and I received my boy’s ashes. I again took the opportunity to confirm that I would be picking up the cast when it was ready from the Clontarf office and that I would be notified. When I reached home, I checked the urn and plaque etc and noticed that the wording on the certificate was not what I provided via email. 04/11/21 Received a voicemail informing me that the casting was ready, and I should call to arrange collection. I contacted the number and informed the operator that I was calling in response to a voicemail to pick-up the cast. The operator then asked me for my details to find my order (which is expected) then proceeded to ask the purpose of my call. Well accustomed to the service delivery standards by now I repeated to the operator that I was calling about the cast and was then told that it was in Ipswich, but I could pick-up from Ipswich the following day. 05/11/21 Picked up the cast from Clontarf first thing in the morning with no issues. Normally I would have kept this dismal experience to myself and just not use the service however I received a request from Pets in Peace asking for a service review. In summary The passing of a loved one is an extremely emotional time for any family and the service Pets in Peace provide if executed as promised would have made this a unique and meaningful experience. My experience however was a positive sales promise on the 27th September followed by the poorest execution. On a positive note, I am very happy with the product i.e. Urn and Cast but these are produced by a third party.

My baby girl eventually came home and her urn is stunning.. However the heartache I was put through with repeated emails and calls, was nothing short of “disrespectful”.. I have 5 other fur babies and my biological daughter together..from finally.. I would never use this business again..🥺

Service of cremation itself was what it advertises and can't be faulted however the communication from the company to the customers is extremely lacking and impersonal. After an initial phone call and being sent to a website there was no customer service at all. I even had to call myself three days after submitting the email forms for follow-up and even then the follow-up was just asking me to pay. There was also no confirmation of when Nix would get dropped off at our house besides the one mention of it in the one call, again that I had to make to the company as noone followed up with me after I submitted the Web form Subsequently we were not home when your employee came. Having zero communication from the company besides an initial call and a impersonal website that treats a pet like any other object just ordered off the net. It makes it feel like the company is about the $$ only. Follow-up calls cost very little and mean alot to a person and a confirmation email or follow-up email costs even less.

Happy with how everything turned out. Unhappy with what seemed to be a lack of communication within the company. Being told the urn I picked was unavailable, so I had another look and called back with a new option to be told that my original option was actually available. When organising to recieve my pet back i was told a date for delivery and it was 2 weeks away, I asked if I could get him sooner if I collected him, not sure what exactly said but I left the call believing I could pick him up anytime after that coming Tuesday. I rearrange my work schedule one morning to go and get him only to be told he wasn't ready and wouldn't be ready until the date that the delivery would have happened if I went with that option, it all a bit distressing at the time. You had my pet for 3 and a half weeks. When I did eventually get to pick up the man who I spoke to was absolutely lovely.
