“It's very easy to order from School Outlet, however, before the product even arrives, they are repeatedly sending you an invoice. I work for a school and there is a process that we have to follow in order to buy anything. I emailed several times to let them know I'd sent it to the school board office to be paid and that it would take a little bit. They still continued to send me invoices. Other than that, we are satisfied with the product and everyone responds in a timely manner.”
Thank you very much for providing this feedback. As a result of your concerns, we turned off the invoice follow-up feature for your order. We apologize for the repeated emails you received from us and the inconvenience they caused. We take our customers' comments and feedback seriously and take corrective actions whenever possible.
If you feel more satisfied based on this information and would consider to re-review our company, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with you!
“Looked nice online and definitely thought it was a better quality. The door is absolutely too flimsy for this to be made for a daycare center. The lock is not sturdy enough. The kid could easily open and close it on their own. I can’t see this lasting for too long. Definitely overpriced although I school outlet does have some good prices, but this item was overpriced not quality at all. If it wasn’t such an hassle returning it, it definitely would’ve be sent back. When unpacking the item noticed a dent. Would not recommend for the quality of it, but the look it’s nice!”
“Your prices are competitive and the products are high quality. My only complaint is that your sales staff is TOO AGGRESSIVE/PERSISTENT. Despite several requests to not be contacted (either by phone or email) on two different orders at two completely different times of year, I continued to receive pesky phone calls and emails inquiring about my status on the quote/order. I am the only administrator in the building and the wheels turn slowly on some administrative matters (like order new furniture). Please provide different training so your sales staff learns to respect the time and demands placed on school office staff. They are not our top (or even among our top 25) priority. We will get to it”
We took a look at your comments and you are right! We did follow up too much with you and we apologize.
It looks like you have two separate quotes with us and we have been following up on both of them - so you were getting double the normal follow up.
This was a mistake on our end and we appreciate your input as it gives us the oppportunity to make improvements to our practices for the future!
We are glad you are happy with our competitive prices and our quality products. We now feature over 50 manufacturers of top quality educational and institutional furniture. We hope we can earn your business in the future.
We are very sorry the cribs were delivered 2 weeks late.
The manufacturer was backlogged on this product and it caused the delay.
We are sorry for any issues it created.
“The tables are nice.
However, the delivery was ridiculous. The truck was packed with the ramps at the front & the tables & boxes had to be taken out to get to them. The driver had no one to help, so this 71 year old woman & the janitor helped unload the truck.
There was no communication that this would be necessary.”
“The epoxy school desk is made of quality materials. And the shipping was acceptable. The shipper did help me move the item to the porch. I saw no damge to the packaging. The problem is the table epoxy top had damage in a small area. It shouldn't affect my use since it is for personal use. But for an item costing over $600, the table should be perfect. I doubt if SchoolOutlet packaged the table. thus wasn't aware of the minor damage. but is still accountable. Sorry about that. It isn't an item easily returned. Other companies do have better ways to make amends.”
“I placed my order in September hoping to receive the cabinet for the holiday season. I was warned by the website that it might take a long time, however when I placed the order I was told 3 weeks. Then I was told that the product was back-ordered, so November 3. OK, not great, but ok. On October 6, it arrived with no warning. I was out of town and because it was not expected for a month I had left no plans to accept the delivery. SCHOOL OUTLET IS NOT AT FAULT, THEY HAD PUT INSTRUCTIONS FOR AN ADVANCE CALL ON THE TICKET -- THE MANUFACTURER AND DELIVERY COMPANY JUST IGNORED THEM. So, one small guy tried to unload this enormous piece of furniture (in the wrong parking lot, near the wrong door, etc., etc.) and succeeded in dropping and breaking the cabinet. I was reached by phone and refused to accept it. They (finally, after arguing) took it away. I talked to John Rey at School Outlet and he was as surprised as I was that it showed up, got with the manufacturer and after many delays the piece arrived on November 20. AGAIN WITHOUT LETTING US KNOW IT WAS COMING. AGAIN WITH ONLY ONE GUY TO UNLOAD. Luckily, we were able to find some help and get the product inside, through the right door. It was assembled and seems to be fine.
SO -- it did not seem to be the fault of School Outlet, but their manufacturer's shipping department needs some SERIOUS work. I came within an inch of just cancelling it altogether. Without John Rey's encouraging professionalism, I would have. John would have gotten 5 stars, the product 5 stars, the experience 0 stars. The 3 stars is a compromise”
“My order was very late compared to estimate. One door of one cabinet arrived badly gouged. I was told this would be reported to the shipping company but I’ve had no contact. The cabinets themselves are great quality, but I probably won’t purchase from school outlet again.”
