“Provided 3 installers in my area. 1 came out to see me. One just sent 2 quotes after asking for pics . Did not go with them quoted 2 systems 1 for 6.6kw 2bd for 12kw (ridiculous). Third rang and then sent 3 quotes for different prices for systems. Did not select them. Selected installer who came out to my property in person. Was also cheapest.”

I got three quotes, of varying price, and ended up going with the ones that stepped me through the process and made sure they were addressing my present and future needs. They weren't the cheapest, as I valued the service, but I would have had that option if I so chose.”

“Solar Quotes did indeed provide three local rooftop solar supplier/installers - all seemed to be well credentialled and experienced. They all were punctual and professional in presenting their respective products and services, and all provided a truckload of information, in one case 24 pages!
For us, this is actually an issue we are grappling with. We are hesitant in progressing our rooftop concept further largely because we are simply bamboozled by all the options and the technical stuff which we struggle to understand, digest and apply to our situation.
From the customers point of view, it would help hugely if the solar people simply put together a basic one page proposal, in understandable language, summarising what they recommend for our roof, instead of dumping an avalanche of stuff on us, hoping we can understand some of it, and hoping we will call them for clarification.
For me, I resist the calling back with questions - inevitably I get to speak to a technician trying to be a salesperson, or a salesperson trying to be a technician ...!”
