The quotes were all so different, using different components made it extremely difficult to come to a decision. Should I pay alot more for percived quality components which then increases payback time. Should I trust companies quoting whenthe havent even visited the property? It seems as though they have so much business, maybe they think they can send off an email for sale? So, still looking.”

“Worked like a charm and have selected one of the quotes. The other quotes were competitive but the installer was not as flexible on a tricky install as the quote I selected.
I also got a quote from an installer who is not on Solarquotes and while they seemed very capable their quote was $5000 higher than the others I had.”

We reviewed the Costs/Benefits regarding adding batteries to our solar system and decided to not proceed at this time and to revisit the possibility in 12 months.

“The reviews of panels, inverters and batteries are solid and very helpful in making an informed decision. The three quotes I received from installers, however, did not meet my needs. The first one refused to mention the battery brands they use. The second one suggested installing a panel on the south facing roff behind my evaporative air conditioning unit, which would have caused shading much of the time and reduced overall output. The second one outlined an oversized array where some panels clearly stood out above the ridge caps of my roof, which would have been no-compliant. I ended up choosing an installer a friend recommended.”
“Solar quotes is easy to use and provides information and reviews on many aspects of the solar experience.
The three quote feature is pretty good, but you would have to do some serious research before being able to make a meaningful decision.Otherwise it's like guesswork.
Of the three providers I chose,one called me ,made an appointment to see me,then didn't turn up.No explanation.Finn did a follow-up call and said he would contact them and see what happened, but I didn't hear from them,or him again.The second commicated solely by email.They sent three separate interactive quotes, for different systems.But no human contact.
The third contacted me personally and followed-up diligently.
It's certainly a very useful service, but not definitive.
I didn't end up going with any of the providers from his service.But you may.”
