“I received my frypan yesterday and I cooked tassie salmon last night on my induction cooktop. It was just amazing, using olive oil with very little heat, I started on 3 and it tasted very good and cook with ease. I used a glass lid from another frypan to keep the heat in the pan. I am now thinking of which cooking utensil to buy next.”
“Can’t review a product that still hasn’t been delivered. Ordered and paid for on 4th August. 2months ago! Supposedly on its way- but no explanation of holdup despite setting up a dispute.”
Hi Natasha,
We’re really sorry for the frustration and delay. It appears that the email you sent raising a dispute on the 27th of September was incorrectly flagged as spam in our system, which meant our team unfortunately missed it, our sincere apologies for that.
We’ve checked your order and can confirm your AUS-ION™ 30cm Frypan has now been delivered and is currently awaiting collection. As a small Aussie team manufacturing locally in batches, there can occasionally be longer wait times while we complete production and final quality checks before shipping. The pan you ordered was in fact a pre-order item, with an estimated completion in late September.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’re confident it’ll be worth the wait once it’s in your kitchen. Thanks again for supporting Australian manufacturing.
Warm regards,
The Solidteknics Team
“Did a "toe in the water" purchase of 20cm and 28cm lightening pans and will now slowly keep adding and replacing our kitchen cookware to move over to Solidteknics throughout including knives.”
“I gave my rating a 4 star because it took 4 months for them to arrive. However since Ive used them, they are fantastic frying pans. Be mindful though of how to look after them. Read all the instructions. The product is long wearing for life. Durable, heavy and amazing quality.”
“I never like to spend more money than neccessary on something, and at first the price of the Solidteknics iron range worried me. So I started with the smallest 20cm iron skillet to test it out. I was that impressed that soon after I also purchased a 26cm pan for larger cookups. If they last forever like stated, then the cost is cheap if you think about how much you would have to spend replacing inferior pans every few years. They cook things really well as long as you keep the heat down, sticking has not been a problem (except for when I tried eggs) and they clean up perfectly with just hot water everytime. Very happy with Solidteknics!”
“I'm enjoying a new way of cooking with ST iron pans.
I've bought the 30cm, 26cm and the 30cm Bigga, have 2 more on order in which I'm waiting on.
I find the seasoning process is easy enough with the provided instructions but I'm used to cast seasoning.
looking forward to the polished range.”
“I'm loving cooking with my new nöni™ Lightning 26cm Grill Pan. It's the first Grill pan I've owned, and it's great to see those great grill lines on steaks, burger patties, and sandwiches I've toasted in the pan so far.
My first experience cooking (beef steaks) on the pan was not the best, but that was because I had never cooked on a grill pan before, so I was learning. Now, after a few cook ups I'm getting the hang of it, and am regularly seeing grill lines on the food I'm cooking.
The attached photo is of my first time toasting sandwiches, and actually this was my first time ever toasting sanwiches in a pan.
If you're looking for a grill pan to cook on, especially indoors and get some great grill lines, you can't go wrong with the nöni™ Lightning 26cm Grill Pan.”
“After much research we decided on the Solidteknics pans. Very solid and well made - that means you do need to get used to the extra weight in the pan. Others now feel flimsy in comparison. Best thing is that the pan heats up very quickly and nothing sticks! If you do get some build up you don't need to use 'dainty' cleaning products as the pan is tough and does not scratch. You do need to get used to the colour change/seasoning the more you use it as being a 'good thing' but that is psychological. The colour definitely has no impact on pan performance.”
“I have bought three Solidteknics frying pans two AUS-IRON 26cm & one Noni Lighting 21cm.
Well made products, super easy to keep seasoned. Bonus is we're supporting an Aussie made & owned company, you can't go wrong!!.
I'll pass these down to my nephew in years to come.”
“I have never been so excited about a pan in my life, but this isn't just a pan - it's a gateway to amazing food.
Highly recommend any of their products - built to outlast me!”
“Really disappointing after all the hype I heard before getting these pans. I have two sizes of the Noni pans and no matter what I do, they both stick when I cook eggs in the morning. Even when I pre heat the pan properly until the water beads over the surface. It does stick at first, then you move the eggs around and then they stick.
Can't speak for the cast iron pans, but i wont be buying any more. They just aren't non-stick and just don't understand how they claim they are.”
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your feedback.
While our nöni™ stainless steel range isn’t non-stick in the traditional sense, it can deliver excellent low-stick performance when used with the right balance of heat and fat.
As stainless steel heats gradually, a scientific principle called the Leidenfrost effect kicks in. This causes the metal to expand and the surface pores to tighten, creating a smoother surface that’s far less prone to sticking.
That said, cooking eggs in stainless steel can be a learning curve, even for seasoned cooks, especially if you’re used to synthetic non-stick pans.
We would recommend pre-heating your pan on a lower heat for longer. For more tips on achieving non-stick on noni see our blog:

“Best pan iv ever cooked on! I can’t believe iv waited this long to buy my first pan. I love it so much! It’s heavy but it cooks like a dream! I cooked scrabbled eggs the first time I used it and they were seriously the best eggs iv ever raten!”
“I am the proud owner of the 24cm crêpe pan, 22cm sauteuse and the Lil Flippa and I love them all. The pans come ready seasoned and are so easy to cook with. Hold the heat well and handles don't get crazy hot.
My most favourite thing is that all items are made from a single piece of metal. No rivets. Amazing. And Aussie made. Can't get much better. Will be adding to my collection for sure.”
