“Fabulous service and fantastic furniture! Having thoroughly researched the UK for a quality British settee we travelled the two hours to inspect what this Company had to offer. Warren was amazing, and a mine of information, with years of experience, guiding us on best solutions, giving great advice so we could make informed decisions. We had taken photos of our room and measurements, so Warrens handy tape measure was useful. The settee and chair were delivered today, the Company made us extra scatter cushions and kindly took the time to refilled an old ‘grandad chair’ seat cushion so every piece of furniture was tip top in the room. “Have just taken possession of a beautiful 3 seater 'Oakley' Chesterfield. I can't thank Warren and the team enough for my very special purchase!! I have wanted a Chesterfield for a very long time and when my nan passed away recently and left me a little money, I decided this would be the perfect thing to spend it on. We did a lot of research before placing an order and visited a lot of show rooms before deciding to make the trip 'up north' to visit Warren in his showroom in Bollington. We were so glad we made the effort to drive the 4 hours up to see him. We'd already learnt a lot about his company from the brilliant videos he produces and were eager to try 'the most comfortable Chesterfield'. The visit did not disappoint! After visiting so many other companies, and sitting our butts down on what seemed like a hundred different sofas, these were truly the best. Also, Warren was happy to accommodate for exactly what we were looking for where other companies had failed. I was able to have the exact depth, colour, legs and studding. We'd been looking for a really deep Chesterfield and the Oakley was exactly what we were looking for. It really is a truly beautiful bespoke piece and a wonderful, life long addition to our home. From order to delivery took just over 10 weeks and has been worth the wait. We are now in the process of replacing the other sofas in our home and will be adding footstools too. The only problem now is which style to choose from....but we can't wait to welcome those pieces into our home too! If you are in a similar position and are trying to decide where best to spend your money, you should definitely make a visit to see Warren or at the very least check out their website as it's full of interesting videos and information on the other ranges they stock. “From receiving samples and visiting the showroom, to ordering and delivering to my tight timescale, I can’t fault SW James for their excellent customer service. Warren answered all my questions and kept me updated throughout my sofa build. The results are incredible. We wanted a large comfy sofa that would accommodate our two large dogs and stand up to a bit of wear and tear. We went for a four seater Oakley in vintage dark brown and paired it with a two seater Huxley - SW James applied the Oakley style buttons so that they matched. The beehive feet are beautiful (def recommend these). Our occasional sitting room has turned into one we use all the time because the sofas are beautiful and so comfortable - the dogs love them too! The colour and quality of the leather is amazing, not shiny like cheaper sofas. These were a real investment for us and we won’t be replacing them for a very long time. In fact, I think they will look better as they age! SW James were definitely the right choice.”

“I bought 2 Huxley sofas, a Huxley chair and an Atticus corner unit. I was worried at first, ordering online without seeng them ! Warren was great- he gave me invaluable advice from design , colour etc. I was emailed every couple of weeks with an update on the making of my sofas , which was great. My sofas and chairs were delivered and placed in the correct area by 2 great delivery guys. The sofas are beautiful and I am so pleased with them. The craftsmanship and detail is wonderful. I would say to anyone not sure on ordering online with this company- definitely go ahead but do ring them as , as I said before, their advice is invaluable.”

James, in all honesty this Company couldn't do enough to Please me! my experience with the Company was very good from the start, the service was prompt and delivery was within the 6 weeks as promised. Though all this matters, it was when delivery was made I was so pleased with the Quality, I got to see what I was paying for, (well worth the wait), it didn't disappoint at all, the leather quality and colour was exactly as I wanted, so comfortable, right down to the finer points (the casters) the Quality excellent, wide, robust and chunky casters that look built to last, with them being so wide lass chance of them digging into my Quality Wood finished flooring. “Such a warm greeting from start to finish.. from the moment we first contacted Warren via email and then the welcome we had on our visit. Warren makes you feel special and the sofas and chairs he had on display were the 'Wow' factor. They weren't just beautiful they were comfy, and extremely high quality, something which is missing in today's standards. Whilst there we were not at all rushed, he explained how they are made, the keatger they used, etc (but I had already watched the informative YouTube video, during my research of Chesterfields). We ordered the Huxley chair and 3 seater sofa. We were given our makers name and were kept informed of progress every week. “We came across Warren and the team at SW James via on online search. All I can is what a fantastic company that make fantastic product. We ordered a pair of their handmade Chesterfield sofas in green. Warren was great at keeping us up to date with how the sofas were coming along and we are absolutely thrilled with the final result. They are stylish and comfortable and a great addition to our house. Additionally, the customer service since we had them delivered has been truly exceptional. When the sofas arrived, they came with removable wooden feet with brass castors. Whilst they looked lovely, they made the sofas a little too high for our pair of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels to be able comfortably to jump up. When I contacted Warren to discuss this, without hesitation he offered to swap them for lower feet, and then even said that I should keep the original ones as I may want to change the look of the sofas in the future. All in all a great experience with a great company.”

From meeting Warren at the Bollington canal side shop (great coffee provided) to view products in the ‘real world’ to taking delivery (on time) our experience of SW James has been exemplary. [Agreed] regular updates kept us in the loop throughout the process, so much so that we felt part of the team.
