Size not true to size chart provided. Was not able to wear the dress as it was soooooo big. Return policy is horrible and could not exchange or refund. Do Not recommend this site to others. Not happy @ all. Wasted time & $$.

Dress delayed with no upfront explanation. I had to chase them and they kept apologising but couldn’t give me a genuine explanation. I threatened them for a refund and that’s when they told me the truth. The order was missed, so I had to wait even longer. I live in Australia and my daughter’s wedding is in March next year. The dress arrived and seemed fine but when I looked closer at the stitching directly on the buttocks area, the stitching looks stretched as if it has been worn before! The folds across the front of the stomach area look loose and not flat. I believe that this dress has been worn before it was mailed out to me. I’m devastated and , frantic as they probably won’t do anything but apologise. Apologies are all they keep doing for a lot of people on their review site. I wish I read them before hand.

This was a very disappointing experience. I purchased an evening gown from Dress Outlet, and not only did the dress not fit correctly, but the customer service was extremely difficult to reach. They give you only seven days to return an item, yet it was nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone during that time. On top of that, I was told the return shipping would cost $9.99, but instead I ended up paying almost $30 just to make sure the package arrived within their five-day window. The entire process felt misleading, frustrating, and unnecessarily stressful. I will not be purchasing from them again, and I cannot in good faith recommend this company to anyone.

The size of the dress was very different from the measurements on the website. The return/refund policy is misleading. It was very difficult to get in touch with an actual human.

Hello, I left a review a while ago regarding my dress which was too big for me and you had suggested you would help me towards the alteration costs. I did write to the email provided but I have not had a response at all. It’s a dress for my 50th birthday and I’ve spent a lot of money on this dress. I feel like the suggestion to help me pay towards the alteration was suggested so that other buyers would see it being a reasonable offer but I have not received any help towards my dress alteration which has cost me £220 when my dress coat me £330. I cannot afford to pay for the alteration but had no choice as I was not allowed to exchange my dress for a smaller size. Your exchange refund policy for international orders is very bad and I suggest that if you are an international buyer then do not buy from This company as they don’t help you at all once they have taken your money.

I tried to return my dress as it was to big and to long. I emailed, and left serveral messages within the 5 day return window. I AM STILL WAITING FOR A REPLY. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Received my dress unfortunately extremely small make so requested exchange. Told sorry as an international customer the return policy doesn’t apply. I even said I’d pay postage still no so I’m stuck with a dress I can’t wear, definitely not a happy customer

You ripped me off charged me for 2 # dresses but only sent 1# then tried to say I only had 20$ in store credit wrong starts out like this 72$ store credit dress deal buy one get one did that only sent 1 dresses contacted you to send different one no reply try see what I had store credit should be 52$ the dresses I bought was only 10$ you sent charged me 13,95 all I want is the other dresses I have coming in my shopping cart

You had 4 orders with us. First order, (218314), this was returned and store credit was issued in the amount of $28.36. You then made a second order (218377) on June 2, 2025. That was also returned and a store credit was issued in the amount of $44.99. At this point, you have a store credit total of $73.35. You placed a new order (219105) on June 18, 2025. But that one was cancelled and the store credit was refunded back to you. You placed another order (221378) on August 10, 2025. This item was out of stock DD1321-Black-3XL and was refunded back to you. No store credit was used for the most current order so you still have $73.35 available.

I love the dress but it’s too big and I want to exchange for a smaller size but it’s not letting me as it’s an international order. That’s unfair as I’ve spent a lot of money on this dress for my 50th. Pls help

But, if the item is too big, we suggest you take it to a seamstress and have it adjusted to fit you. We will even gladly cover some of the costs for you of the work needed so that you can be happy in the dress. Please contact carol@thedressoutlet.com if you wish to go this route.

The customer service and exchange/return process are not very customer friendly. A dress I purchased that was supposed to be a size small was HUGE and no one was willing or able to help me get something appropriate within the time I needed it.

The only thing they cannot be returned for is a refund since this is not one of our designers that can be refunded.
