Hi there, we’re Thread The Word!

We’re an Australian business located in Melbourne and dedicated to creating beautiful, personalised blankets. All of our blankets are an order of one and knitted just for you.

We are very passionate about making all of our products in Australia. We have been producing personalised gifts for over 10 years in the photo industry.

Our blankets are knitted from 100% combed cotton. Combed cotton is super soft and we do not use any harmful chemicals so they are perfectly safe for babies and children.

“So easy to order, beautiful, quality blanket”

“This is the second cot blanket l have purchased. I was very pleased with it however l would encourage anyone purchasing a blanket to check the preview of the final design. I was a bit disappointed that the name on the sides of the blanket only printed part of the name. Despite this the quality of the blanket is lovely and l will definitely order another one when the time arises”

“The blanket l bought for my new grandson was absolutely beautiful, so much so his older brother and sister also wanted one, so l bought 2 more. These blankets are so well made, soft to touch and smell amazing. I would recommend these blankets to everyone, such a wonderful gift for any occasion.”

“Gorgeous quality and perfectly printed, it was exactly as described. Given it was pre-washed, i just felt the fabric softener used was a little overpowering. I had to air it for a few days, but other than that, a great customised product.”

“Cot blanket for my first granddaughter Zaeli. Love the blanket and colours but I selected the wrong font. Also a little disappointed that the name on the other side is back to front, so you can only really use one side”

“Quick delivery. Appears to be good quality material with nice seaming. Only issue I had was navigating the website, a lot of back and forth with picking font, colour, ect. Otherwise lovely packaged too with the dust bag.”

“The named cotton blanket was a gift for my 2 year old grandson. I wasn't expecting a huge response but he grabbed the blanket wrapped it around himself and paraded it around to show everyone. It is beautiful thank you”

“Great quality customized blanket at a fair price. Service became a bit of an issue. I got the impression that the blanket would ship promptly but got an email notice around a week later that the package was ready to ship. Also, the stated shipping address was mine rather than the intended recipient (same as billing address stated). On the webform with which I ordered the blanket the mailing address function was a bit wonky and unlike any I have ever seen. I had a bad feeling. So the pkg. went from TTW to LosAngeles, to New York where I repackaged it and sent it back to California.”

“My blankets arrived yesterday. The blankets themselves are beautiful l, 5/5 but they took a long time to get here. Almost three weeks. I had to Send an email and contact them through instagram to see if they were coming. The person on instagram was really lovely but the customer service from Billie was pretty short. No explaination as to why they took weeks to ship or an apology. I wouldn’t normally care but they were a gift and it didn’t arrive in time. Having said that, the blankets are great quality and I would definitely order again but I wouldn’t bank on the 5 day shipping. I got the ‘please review your order’ email before they’d even arrived Seems like most people have had great experiences though so my order may have just slipped through the cracks.”

“I am happy with the quality of blanket I purchased.. but just a couple of suggestions.. even though blanket is for newborn, the size should be larger so it can be used more as baby is growing older and gets more use. Also, the writing on blanket I bought is quite pale and it looked darker on website, but it would be good if I was able to choose colour of my choice of writing on blanket when ordering. In hindsight I should have ordered a darker one. Never mind, all good.”

Hi Sophie, Thank you for your feedback. We have 5 different size blankets from Newborn to Single Bed. The newborn is ideal for the pram and in the car. The next size is a bassinet and then followed by cot. In regards to the colour our designer lets you choose any colour combination.
