We’re an Australian business located in Melbourne and dedicated to creating beautiful, personalised blankets. All of our blankets are an order of one and knitted just for you.

We are very passionate about making all of our products in Australia. We have been producing personalised gifts for over 10 years in the photo industry.

Our blankets are knitted from 100% combed cotton. Combed cotton is super soft and we do not use any harmful chemicals so they are perfectly safe for babies and children.

I was impressed by the quality of the blanket I received but that’s where the good review ends. I also ordered a personalised stocking for my daughter which I never received, I emailed customer support who apologised and said it was due to a busy peak period and they would send a new one out asap which was completely understandable but this never happened. I filed a complaint with PayPal which they never responded to and because the tracking said delivered PayPal closed the dispute. The stocking wasn’t expensive only $20 but the principal of not receiving the item and avoiding rectifying it was very disappointing and as much as I like the blanket this situation will stop me from purchasing things from them in the future.

I have bought over 10 Christmas stockings from thread the world. I purchased another this past December and it arrived with a hole in it. I had to use a glue gun to get through Christmas. I have requested a refund for weeks and nobody will do it. Horrible for customer service.

Delivery never happened due to autofill error, billing address correct, shipping address exactly the same but missed the street name. Stupid autofill. Took one month for Sendle to advise this was the issue and would not correct from their end. Basically told me to go back to Thread the Word for full refund. Next minute Thread the Word tell me the parcel was delivered. So one month later I don’t have Christmas stockings for my grandchildren. Such a farce. These companies should just phone each other instead of telling me to contact each of them continuously to sort it out, spent hours trying to get this resolved.

Ordered Friday November 29th. Wasn't actually shipped until Monday December 6th, despite an email going out the next day saying it had been. It's now the 14th of December, and my parcel has been sitting in Melbourne for days with no response from Aramax. It's unlikely I'll receive it before I move. Maximum delivery time on website was advised to be 4 business days. Contacted the team, their policy is apparently once it's with Aramex, who I now understand have an absolutely horrendous reputation as couriers, one of the worst in the business, it's not their problem. No refunds, too bad. I won't be in the building by the time this parcel comes. Thanks for a terrible experience and choosing such a shoddy courier as your partner, most likely to save money for you at the expense of your customer.

Dear Erin, Firstly, our website states that orders are shipped within 5 working days, not delivered within 4 days as you mentioned. Additionally, our terms and conditions clearly outline that delays may occur during peak seasons. Your order was placed on the 29th and picked up by the courier on the 4th, which is within our advertised time frame. Unfortunately, the delay in delivery appears to have been caused by an incorrect postcode provided during checkout. As a result, Aramex was unable to process your parcel in the normal timeframe, and it was directed to the wrong depot. I personally called you earlier to explain the situation and arrange a new order to go to you via express post, but I was met with a tone that I found unexpected and quite difficult to navigate. While I understand the frustration of a delayed delivery, the threat of escalating this to Fair Trade seems unwarranted, given the circumstances. To reiterate, the delay in delivery is not a result of our service but an error in the postcode entered at checkout. Aramex is currently working to locate your parcel, and we are committed to resolving this issue as quickly as possible. I kindly request that you reconsider your reviews, as they do not accurately reflect the situation. I also believe an apology is warranted, as your comments and tone have been unfairly directed at us despite the cause of the delay being outside our control. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. We are happy to assist in resolving this matter promptly.

Just don't even bother. There is nothing about this business or product that justifies the near torture you have to go through if you want any form of information. Firstly, the delivery times listed on the website are a lie. "Ships within 5 days" translates to "let's let it sit for 3 weeks and then we might think about putting your order together". Secondly, try reaching out to customer service and see if they a) respond or b) give you any actual information. They then refuse to give a refund as shipping delays "do not qualify". Rest assured the delay was NOT from the shipping. It was from the production. I bought something else when we went to go see the newborn and I suppose I'll just wait another month before the blanket arrives. Save yourself the anxiety - there are HEAPS of these types of stores out there. Try a different one.

Second time I was sent the colour wrong the colour did not match the colour I picked way different then place cards was looking forward to the finish product but again I got disappointed

Still have not received the blanket yet. Tracking info has been sent but UPS tracking has it down that they have not received anything from the company. It’s been months.

I received my blanket and the colour was very different to the one on the website. I reached out to the team and they did not offer a refund as I was not happy with my purchase. Very disappointed - I love supporting small businesses but this one does not have good customer service and false advertising.

The worst service ive even faced. Ordered from them twice and both times order was delayed for more then a month. Last time item was just sent to me whenever was ready even so I’ve requested to hold as i left for vacation. When I’ve contacted for clarification i was told not to worry as ‘life is too short’. If you want to spoil your baby or friend birthday and spoil your mood then definitely this is the right place to order….

Got my address wrong . My third purchase in 6 months but unfortunately the last purchase went to Launceston nit Adelaide. Problem solved now but delay niw.

I'm not very happy with the quality of the blanket:((the edges of the circles are uneven looks very cheap, the colours are not the same as advertised I feel the name was put the wrong way (eg across the longest part of the blanket instead of at the top) totally disappointed I won't be ordering again from this company:((((
