Hi there, we’re Thread The Word!

We’re an Australian business located in Melbourne and dedicated to creating beautiful, personalised blankets. All of our blankets are an order of one and knitted just for you.

We are very passionate about making all of our products in Australia. We have been producing personalised gifts for over 10 years in the photo industry.

Our blankets are knitted from 100% combed cotton. Combed cotton is super soft and we do not use any harmful chemicals so they are perfectly safe for babies and children.

“Amazing service. I bought a blanket for family whose little newborn son died, I contacted the business to ask for a personal touch and they responded with such compassion and care which was so comforting. The gift arrived and it is perfect and soft and everything I wanted for the family. Thank you for going that extra with such a personal response and not making it all money and business. Kindness is definitely one of the business’ core values Would definitely recommend”

“Absolutely love these blankets for both of our sons that their Nanie brought for them as gifts. We will be using these for a very long time. The organic cotton material is so soft and high quality. Only recommendation I’d give is to wash before use as it is sent to you smelling very strongly of fabric softener. It’s okay if you like this smell on your blankets but babies are very sensitive to smells so I prefer to wash first. Thanks for a lovely blanket!”

“Lovely quality and the print is great Plus the blanket is super soft. My only complaint is the extremely strong smell of fabric softener or fragrance that the blanket had. Even after a wash it’s very strong. Not an unpleasant smell but headache inducing.”

“The best personalised blankets around, first purchase was for a friend since receiving have recommended to everyone I know. The quality of these blankets is next level, from the choice in patterns to colours they are all beautiful it makes choosing just one very hard but can guarantee you won’t be disappointed. So glad that after purchasing one for our newest addition was lucky enough to be gifted a larger sized blanket aswell, will 100% recommend thread the word to anyone and everyone. Extra bonus is that shipping doesn’t take very long at all !”

“Quality of the blanket is great, and the packaging has been well thought out however… The blanket has a strong fragrance smell, which is quite overpowering. Given that this item is intended for babies, I believe it should not have such a scent, as fragrances can be toxic and harmful to infants. For comparison, I have purchased similar baby blankets from other websites that do not have this unpleasant odor. Unfortunately, due to this issue, I am hesitant to make future purchases from your store. I hope you will consider addressing this concern to ensure the safety and comfort of your customers.”
