“Total con bought what we thought were genuine tickets £100 in total only to arrive at event to find they were fake also correct ticket price was £16 each”
“Booked Miss Saigon tickets through these fraudsters.Paid nearly £100 a ticket for tickets with a face value of £50.I should of been more aware but never mind me and my wife went to the venue anyway. When we got to our seats another couple were sitting there. We both compared tickets and both our tickets were the same seats. Bith tickets were purchased through viagogo. We spoke to management and were told we would all have to buy new tickets from the box office! The tickets we bought cost £20 each! I have complained to viagogo this morning and demanded a full refund.Lets see what their response is. This fraud...”
“I bought tickets with Viagogo and they were invalid! I had this in writing from the venue and band themselves. Viagogo refused to refund me despite written evidence. They have shocking customer service and are literally took nearly a months salary from me. Buyer beware, this company facilitates fraud.”
“If it were possible- it would be a NO STAR review!
What a morally reprehensible business! I cannot stress more how much you shouldn’t use this site!
My case was a complex one as the tickets I had bought had been bought and sold twice before I received them. As instructed, by this deplorable company, I got in contact with the seller (7 days before the concert), much to my and her dismay they were considered ‘unusable’ because they had the original sellers name on them (as per Viagogo’s email you cannot enter the arena without the seller and the original purchase card). After DAYS of both buyer 2 and I calling and speaking to the operators (4 days before the concert) back and forth, back and forth they now assured us I could use the tickets and that Viagogo would have a guarantee that I could attend the concert (believe me, this is the short version!!!). Completely contradicting what was sent in writing to me. When I challenged this, (3 days before the concert), I was again assured all would be fine. In the meantime I had forgotten my password to log into my account- request a new password-NO ACTION! When speaking to the operator, she said ‘oh it should take a few hours’ I said I had been waiting DAYS and asked if there was any way she could send me a renewal link-No, that was not possible. After all this anguish to see if I was even going to make it to the concert, buyer 2 sends me the tickets recorded delivery as the concert is now in 2 days! THANK YOU! I received them- whilst in my possession, buyer 2 received a completely uncalled for and accusing email to say she had not sent them!
I go back to my initial statement now, of a morally reprehensible business-why you ask? Because the original seller sold the tickets at FOUR TIMES THE AMOUNT OF THE FACE VALUE OF THE TICKET!!
MY QUESTION TO YOU, Viagogo- is how you find it acceptable, moral, and respectable to allow people to put whatever mark up they feel like for a ticket? When did it become the decent thing to allow people to do what they want to make a quick buck? BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY-How, as a so called ‘legitimate company’, do you NOT have a cap on how much a person can put up the price?
Overall-A truly shocking experience! I will never use your business again and will shout it from the rooftops so that hopefully, other unsuspecting individuals do not have to go through this! You are utterly disgraceful and dishonest!”
“Viagogo misled my wife into buying what she thought was seated tickets at a premium price. The venue was then changed to an all standing venue so we could not go as I am unabke to stand fOR protracted periods of time. They refused to give us any refund whatsoever although we ended up paying £131 for tickets that were only worth £60 total. BEWARE.”
“Absolutely scam and scum
Took money for rugby tickets but never delivered them at pick up
Advisor Rebecca ( Irish voice) couldn’t have cared
We WILL be going public 😡😡😡😡”
“THE WORST SERVICE EVER, THEY CHARGED ME $50 PER TICKET AS A FEE. THEY TLD ME MY TICKETS WOULD B DELIVERED TO MY HOTEL 1 WEEK BEFORE THE CONCERT AND THEN SENT ME AN EMAIL TELLING ME THAT I HAD TO PICK UP MY TICKETS TO SOME STARBUCKS 25 MINUTES AWAY FROM MY HOTEL AT THE DAY OF THE CONCERT GIVING ME A TIME FRAME OF JUST 2 HOURS TO PICK THEM UP. COSTUMER SERVICE IS COMPLETELY USELESS, I ASKED 5 TIMES FOR HELP THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK.
DON’T EVER BUY TICKETS FROM THIS WEBSITE !”
“sold tickets through them 27th August and still not received a penny ! Customer services are absolutely useless passing case from to another department !
bunch of scammers !!!”
“Scam warning!!! they have tricked us to purchase 2-normal session ticket of $30 with price of $300. this is a scamming business and should be reported! They even trick paypal so that when you try to claim a refund, they request you to send the digital-online e-ticket Physically back to their office for refund!!?!?!?!?”
“They are overpriced, unreliable, and a scam company!! I purchased tickets in April of 2018 for the Eagles game in Wembly the end of October. I selected the seats in the 100 level at the time, got confirmation #, paid over $700 for them in April, but a week before the game they sent email that those tickets aren’t available. I had to pick tickets in the 500 level 4 rows from the top of the stadium, I was so high I could have shaken god’s hand. They offered a $38 credit, no refund, for the next tickets I purchase from them, like that will happen. Their guarantee is bogus. Next time I am going with a reliable company, people I meet on the trip used ticket masterUK cheaper and tickets they select were delivered.”
“Day light robbery. Absolute thiefs with no conscience. Cheats. These people should be locked up
DONT BUY tickets from them. We all have to join up and take this company down”
“They trick people in to paying over the odds for tickets with what appears to be blatant deceit. Customer service in terms of value for money is clearly not a priority at all. There should be legislation against such companies.”
“I was refused entry for a King Crimson concert at the London Palladium the ticket was purchased through Viagogo - for Gods sake avoid this dreadful company-Avoid.Avoid,Avoid !!!”
“We showed up for a gig just to be told that our tickets are not valid and we cannot attend the event using them. The tickets were purchased by someone prior to me purchasing them on viagogo website. That person has made about £100 profit on top of the original ticket price. At the time viagogo was the only place where I could find the tickets for this event and didn’t occur to me that I will be scammed like this. When I was finally able to download tickets (as initially after making a booking I didnt receive tickets just email confirmation ) I did realise how much we have overpaid compare to the face value. I never thought of looking at the name on the ticket or checking the venue policy. Apparently a lot of venues do not accept re sold tickets as valid. The same ticket can be resold more than once. Do not under any circumstances book tickets through viagogo website if you don’t want to loose money and miss a gig.”
“They are only getting one star because you can’t give Zero!!! The company is scamming legitimate customers out of £100’s click bating people and tricking people in to buying tickets. They “make their costs clearly visible” on the site. However they also put a massive clock at the top of the page to push you through the billing.
Let’s be clear here, I did not know that I was even on the site when going to purchase the tickets there is no header on the page you are sent to that identifies that you have been pushed through to a different seller.
Also, don’t be fooled by the number of tickets left. After being scammed by these low life’s I looked in to the coding of the website. It is clear that they will lie to you about the number of tickets remaining. The code basically will spit out the number of tickets you require and tell you that there is only that number left. This again pressures you in to thinking that you have no option but to purchase before you run out of time.
Finally please be aware that they also lie to you on the first page you come to where it shows you “clearly” the price of the ticket. In my case the ticket cost was £63 for two. Yet when I finally got to pay, let’s just say it wasn’t even close.
Will be warning people off about this site everywhere I can. You want to run a business? Have the decency to treat people with respect.”
