“My GE refrigerator has a Waterdrop filter already and it works. I went to replace it with another Waterdrop because the replace light came on and the refrigerator refuses to recognize the new one. The water dispenser will not work with it. And yes, it's the right type RPWF. I have tried several times to reinstall and everytime it's the same. I have to stick the old one back just so the water dispenser will work.”

Only concern regards the detachable cap that records/indicates when the unit has reached its lifetime limit. That cap fits securely on the original filters but is loose and floats off from the new filters.”
