“I placed an order with Zamnesia for £115. The invoice they submitted to UPS incorrectly declared the value as £165. This error meant UPS calculated import VAT and charges on the higher amount, leaving me with a £57 bill that should not have applied to the goods I purchased. I contacted Zamnesia multiple times, providing proof of payment and the UPS invoice. They have not responded to any of my messages. It is important to note: Import VAT and duties are the buyer’s responsibility when legitimately owed. In this case, the additional charges arose solely because Zamnesia submitted an incorrect invoice. Until Zamnesia accepts responsibility for its own documentation errors and provides customer support, UK buyers should be aware that they may face unfair additional costs with no resolution.”
