Squirrel Proof Classic Bird Feeder with Pole and Squirrel Baffle Reviews

Squirrel Proof Classic Bird Feeder with Pole and Squirrel Baffle We live very close to a nature park and often see cardinals, blue jays, mockingbirds, and doves. I thoroughly enjoy watching birds coming and flittering around and the different sounds they make. I am curious to see if this feeder will attract more or different bird species to our yard and deter the squirrels from helping themselves to the birdseed. I love the directions for the feeder; they are very straightforward on how to set up the feeder and what to watch out for when selecting its placement. In addition, the instructions are printed in an easy-to-follow step-by-step method with diagrams and proper spelling and grammar. WTG “BIRDS Choice”!!! The poles, lid, and baffle, all seem to be pretty sturdy. The baffle appears like it will be a very strong deterrent for the squirrels attempting to get to the bird stoops. The plastic feeder tube: I am a little leery if it will hold up to the south Texas summers only time will tell. Given the thought put into the construction, I believe it will last at least for a few years!

So far the most challenging part of this was the directions. There is a lot of detailed steps about how to bang the pole into the ground w/a hammer & piece of wood and NOTHING about a weird little blue cap that seems misplaced. I figured out the cap must go up inside the birdfeeder to keep the pool from wobbling around too much however the pole would not fit. The small end of the pole still wobbled around when inserted into the cap. The larger end of the pole would not fit at all. Without the use of the The birdfeeder just wobbles around and isn’t secure at all.

The Classic Feeder was easy to set up and install in our backyard. The large feed holder allowed less refills. The feeder has ledges on side where the birds can land and feed, however it attracted lots of birds and not enough ledges for all the birds to feed at the same time.

I received this as a sample to try out. It hadn't been up for an hour till the squirrels started to attempt to get at it. It was very entertaining to watch them give it their all. After a few days they gave up and just stuck to eating watch falls on the ground. Oh by the way, it also feeds the birds..

We have a lot of birds in our neighborhood and our backyard looks like a squirrel super highway. We have an Asian pear tree that we can never get fruit from because the squirrels steal every single pear. Our cats are indoor only so we wanted a bird feeder outside so they can watch the birds for entertainment, we call it Cat TV but didn't want the squirrels to abscond with all the bird feed. This feeder is awesome. The pools come in multiple sections so we could make it taller or shorter. We wanted it tall so we could see it out of our windows more easily. We had watered the night before, so our ground was pretty soft. I got a 2x4 and put it on top of the pole section that would go into the ground and then hammered onto the wood so I didn't ruin the metal pole. After a few good solid hits, the pole was about 6 inches into the ground, making it really stable for the feeder way at the top with lots of bird activity (hopefully). We have big birds in our neighborhood so we went with sunflower hearts and the whole thing has been a hit with birds of all sizes. Birds will grip the little perches and eat the seed, and we were right, the cats love it. I come out in the morning to see them watching intently while the birds feed. I have seen squirrels on the ground at the foot of the feeder, but unable to reach the goodies inside. This has been a winner!

1. Very easy assembly and very easy installation. It took under 15 min for the whole setup. 2. Simple mechanism and very effective 3. Well built and solid construction. 4. It has a huge capacity 5. Instead of plastic, they could have used glass for the transparent part of the feeder since plastic May eventually degrade due to UV radiation.

This feeder is the perfect addition to our yard. It is definitely very well made and sturdy. It is squirrel proof, and it's big and holds a lot of feed. So the upkeep on it is low. Which that's a huge plus for us also. We like it!!

I love watching the birds feed and I have several feeders, however the squirrels get most of the feed from those! The Bird Choice feeder allows me to feed only the birds and I don't have to fill it so often.
