Refurbished Lamia by BTOD, Black (Steelcase Leap Frame + Amia Seat) Reviews

4.6 Rating 70 Reviews
"It is Truly Great" I had tried and really liked the Amia but chose to upgrade to the Lamia and it is perfect for me in everyway. Well worth the additional cost plus it meets all of my requirements and then some.

Amazing experience and a great product. Really loved all the reviews and information that supported making my decision to buy this chair. The process was simple and it shipped quickly. Loving this chair! And, when there was an adjustment needed for it, their support team was there right away to walk me through it and make sure I got it set up the way I wanted it. Thank you!

This is the most comfortable chair, I've ever sat in. I use it every day and my back and butt thank me. I would not have guessed such a quality product would be refurbished. I've had it for 6 months now and it's been a game changer.

Had to sit in it for awhile to get used to a chair that actually felt right. But over all I'm enjoying it. It's been a major update from the $100-$200 cheap chairs I had before.

When I game, I game rigorously. Would sit in this chair for 10+ hours at a time and find practically no discomfort. If you're looking for an edge over others- this is it. For its price, look no further. Sublime delivery time and excellent quality control as well. (Update: Still robust even when I first used it back in March 26th)

In researching office chairs, sorted through all the social media chair companies (how did office chairs become a mail-order item?) to get down to some real, evidence-based reviews, and found the YouTube videos for BTOD. Watch 'em. Then I discovered they refurbish Steelcase chairs, and go one better by morphing two models into one. If you are worried about buying a refurbished chair, watch the video on the process. You will see that they basically rebuild chairs from scratch. I challenge anyone to prove my chair is refurbished and not new, it's that good. I ended up buying the Lamia, which takes a flatter, some say more comfortable, seat bottom of the Steelcase Amia and puts it on the body of the Steelcase Leap. This results in a chair for a taller or larger person than the Amia, but with a flatter Amia seat bottom (as opposed to the Leap seat bottom, which is more contoured and fits some better, some not). Also, the Leap (and therefore, the Lamia) has lumbar adjustments galore, and I had problems with lumbar before. Here I am able to make the chair back fit the natural curve of my spine exactly, keeping me upright and in great posture without effort for longer periods. All this results in less stiffness or soreness after many hours at work seated. Only wish they came in colors, but since they use refurbished parts it only comes in black.
