I have really bad hearing when it comes to auscultating my patients. But this makes my job in the CVICU so much easier. The Eko helps me hear chest tubes rubbing in patients, and also fine crackles/wheezing. It helps me identify irregularities in S1 & S2. This is actually my second Eko Core. I was gifted an Eko Core back in 05/28/2021. It worked beautifully for two years (exactly how long the warranty lasts). Two months after the warranty expired (July 2023), my Eko core stopped charging properly. I tried reading the troubleshooting guide on EKO's website, but all the steps suggested didn't fix the EKO. Whenever I plugged it into the charger, it would show yellow/orange for 10 seconds, and then switch to green. When I tried to turn it on, it’ll flash white twice and then consistently flash that it has low battery (yellow orange). The audio would crackle in and out. I reached out to EKO, and they referred me to Littman software support who told me the following: "The Littmann Core SWtethoscope has a 2-year warranty. According to your information, the warranty has expired. We have service available for the stethoscope and we will replace the Core module and go through the the rest of the device to insure proper operation for a flat fee of $200.00." I'm pretty disappointed in the customer service. My warranty was only expired by 2 months and my $300 piece was rendered useless. I bought another core, and hopefully, this one will last more than 2 years 2 months this time. If it breaks again after such a short period of time, I will not repurchase. I am expecting my core to last at least 5-10 years. If it breaks in 2-3 years, I will be extremely disappointed. It's a really great product if it works--I am just unsure if it was built to last.

I'm a cardiology nurse practitioner, and the Eko Core Digital attachment amazingly amplifies heart sounds (along with EVERYTHING else). I can hear soft/faint murmurs without difficulty now. I would have given it 5 stars, but I thought it was supposed to block out background sounds, which it doesn't.

Used this attachment for the first time lastnight. I’m a RN in ICU and man is this a game changer. Hearing breath sounds on those with larger body habitus is NO longer a problem. I can easily identify coarse vs fine crackles and promptly get my patients treated. Super excited I added this addition to my stethoscope

Nice amplifier for stethoscope. I've had my cardiology II for years and love it. Adding this to my stethoscope makes hearing much easier .

I am still trying to optimize the use of the attachment. I have it to allow me to use my hearing aids with my stethescope utilizing the Bluetooth feature. As far as I can tell I have to open the app and pair it each time, turn the hearing aid volume up to max, turn the phone volume up to max, and turn the Eko device volume up to max to get good sound. seems like there should be a default setting that turns up the Eko volume automatically but I have not yet found that setting.
