“Love the amplifier…”

“I was amazed at the amplification while in a quiet environment; however, in a noisy environment, it was not what I was expecting. I am an EMT and it has not helped me at all while in the field or while in the ambulance itself. Instead, it picks up so much noise from everything else that it is almost worse than using my stethoscope without the attachment. I have tried both reducing and increasing the volume but I sometimes just turn it off. I have heard such great things about the attachment so I will continue to test it and see if I can find the right volume to amplify the sounds I need to hear without adding too much additional background noise. The attachment also works itself loose throughout the day at the areas where it screws in and I am constantly checking to see if it is tight because I am afraid I will lose the chest piece As far as the app detecting murmurs. It is kind of glitchy. The app detected a murmur in three areas when I tried it on myself then none, later it was in two areas, then none. I'll take it with me for my annual physical and compare it to what my doctor hears. Regarding the engraving, DON'T DO IT! The engraving is so light that you have to struggle to see it. Even though I got engraving for free, I wish I had not done it. I placed an order for the attachment around 11PM but the next morning after seeing the videos about how much better the noise cancelation is for the ECG version I wanted to upgrade my order to that device instead. Unfortunately, I was told that my attachment had already been engraved and I couldn't change my order. I understand their policy, but when you can't even see the engraving it is not worth doing.”

“My first order never arrived but the company quickly sent me a new order. The product works great! I have never had such clear sound from a stethoscope. Only wish they would add veterinary to the list of uses.”

“I compare this to a pair of speakers. It does the job of amplifying but the quality is average. I’m sure one day there will be crisp audio like a JBL speaker but right now it’s just a regular mass produced speaker. The item itself feels cheaply made and would not be surprised if it broke. The on off button is designed like a drill which would not be my first recommendation. And the volume buttons do not click well. I need this because I can’t hear and it does the job but otherwise I’m not raving about this product. There are so many ways in which this product can be an actually nice and well thought out item with quality parts.”
