“I didn’t get a definite answer if this attachment works with Bluetooth hearing aids, but it does! Connect your hearing aids to your phone, then pair the EKO to your phone. Download the Eko app, and turn the speakers to your headphones ( which are now your hearing aids).”

“I only say 4/5 because I had to purchase a second one because my 1 st one I purchased 2 years ago stopped working and it wasn’t under warranty. Other than that sound quality is 5/5, for someone with hearing issues it really does make being a nurse easier!”

“I had hoped to be able to use the device through my hearing aids. Neither I or my audiologist were able to make it work in that manner. Very scratchy, poor sound quality. I thus am using it attached to my stethoscope ( sans hearing aids ) in the hope that the heart and lung sounds will be amplified.”

“This is a really useful tool. I really hoped it would work well with hearing aids, but it does not. It is not that the product isn't good. The description is very clear that the bluetooth is only validated with AirPods, and when I used it with AirPods, it really does work well. It's just that auscultation with hearing aids is a difficult problem to solve. There are several issues when using it with hearing aids. 1. Hearing aids focus on high frequencies, because that is generally what needs to be boosted to improve hearing of speech. Heart and lung sounds are low frequency. When the bluetooth signal goes to your bluetooth hearing aid, the hearing aid is not capable of properly reproducing that sound, so what comes through is not useful for true auscultation. 2. The amplification works excellent, so using it without hearing aids works really well, but it is not practical to take the hearing aids in and out. Since it does not work well with hearing aids, I initially thought I would return it, but I am not giving up hope. I think the amplification is ultimately going to be useful in conjunction with some as yet to be determined way of getting the sound from the stethoscope to my ear drums by way of my hearing aids. If anyone has any tips for hearing aid users, I would be happy to hear them. I've researched the topic a lot, but have not found that perfect solution.”

“Overall, I like it. But it is taking some getting used to. It amplifies breath sounds too much. It's tough to take BP because it amplifies every little noise. It's most helpful for listening to heart sounds. Will not be using the Bluetooth or other features. No need for that.”

“The EKO device helps me hear like I could when I started almost 30 years ago. Amazing sound transference, no distortion, and amazing ambient noise reduction means less work. This device puts me right in the process. I can "see" what I'm hearing.”
