I am a paramedic working in a busy city.. i got the Core Digital attachment mainly to record some bits for when I teach. But it is so good I use it all the time.. the noise cancelling worked really well at an RTC in the city with all the background noise I could still fully assess the chest.. in the few shifts I have had it i am noticing sound i had not before and can only recommend them.. even my student loved it as we could use the phone with headphones to both listen.. i have not needed to use it remotely yet but I have tried a few times.. using it with a littmann Master Classic..

.5 - 1 second delay on with Bluetooth connection using AirPods. Sounds are amplified but still low even on the highest volume setting. Connection delay and be a minor nuisance when turning it on and off in between seeing patients. Bought the item for seeing isolation patients but ended up replacing my classic stethoscope. I just drop it in a plastic bag as a housing. Makes cleaning in between patients very easy.

I love the CORE for amplifying sounds with my existing stethoscope. However, when trying to play back recorded sounds or listen via headphones, it seems much quieter. It’s definitely useful for its noise amplification and I’m hoping to figure out how to use the other features better.

I'm an EMT and most of my vitals are taken in the back of a very noisy ambulance. I often had to take lung sounds and blood pressure several times per acquisition because I couldn't hear them the first few times. Now when I check lungs and blood pressure more than once, it's just to verify what I heard the first time. I also love using the app to record my sounds. I've actually been able to use it to calculate heart rate in a pinch when I found myself unable to obtain it via pulse ox or palpation. I also like using the app to record my sounds because I can go back and listen to them later when I'm doing my report instead of trying to remember what I heard. I also like that I have the ability to take my recordings and get a second opinion if I need to. It also makes things easier if you are giving your report to the nurse or doctor. If you pick up a sound that is odd and they ask you to explain further, instead of trying to verbalize what you heard, you can play your recording so they can hear for themselves. It's an expensive device but it's definitely worth the cost. I used to dread taking bp manually but now I find myself doing manual auscultation more than using the automated cuff. The hardest part about getting bp manually now is getting my patients to keep their arm straight for me. I definitely recommend it to ANY clinician who uses a stethoscope.

I love this attachment. It amplifies and isolates sounds that were impossible to hear before. The only problem is that the connection to the phone is sketchy at best and you must use the phone to access certain functions such as said frequency isolation. Not sure how optimal this will be in the prehospital environment. As a paramedic, I am excited to be able to access faster and more accurately. As a side note, I wish they would bring back the cover for the charging port.

This attachment is awesome. It allows you to hear far beyond what you could ever hear normally with just a stethoscope alone. Although I haven't worked with the app, for what I have used it for heart, lung, and bowel sounds I truly love it. This review is from my wife Nichole Muchison. I purchased it for her as a gift. She has her BSN and is going back to be a Nurse Practitioner.

I have a severe hearing loss. Deaf in one ear and wear a hearing aid in the the other. I work as a nurse and It took me years to find a device to listen without having to take my hearing aid out especially with infection control. Eko works with my blue tooth that I use for phones and I can actually hear the sounds clearly in my hearing aid. I am really thankful for this, it made me to be the happiest nurse. Thank you Eko!
