Yeah, I know it is difficult to do that , but EKO has done it with their new core digital. I have been using the older model which was already good but, this is sleeker and better in every way.

Version 2 of the stethoscope is much better - lighter, cleaner, easier to charge. The main complaint I have is that the metal Christmas tree connectors that are on the top and bottom of the CORE digital attachment come loose easily. If I want to adjust the direction of my ear buds, then a slight left twist of the tubing causes the metal screws to loose. Then I have to tighten it again going right. I would recommend welding the metal tree that connects the CORE attachment to the tubing instead of having them as screws.

One of my senior residents recommended this and I couldn’t agree more. It’s a great addition and I’ve found the need to use all features of the eko core attachment within the first few days. I’ve used to for visualizing murmurs and hearing them on patients where it’s hard to hear.

This is my second digital stethoscope from CORE. The first one died after 5 years and they gave me a discount on my new one. Much smaller than the old one and the app is definitely better. My only complaint is the thing shuts off after 5 min of use. I need it to stay on when I am seeing patients in the office. I gave it a 4 for this reason. They need to allow you to shut this feature off

When hooked up to the tubing its got good sound quality, better than my old littman electronic stethoscope. As a wireless solution its clunky and sound quality drops considerably and has a quite a long lag which is a bit disconcerting, haven't quite got used to it. Am using it in covid outbreaks so needing to have the phone app open adds another device that I need to decontaminate - would be great if it was a direct connection from device to headphones. The device itself is weirdly shaped and challenging to clean with nooks and crannies - the charging port is exposed too. Much prefer the look of the eko duo in terms of being able to clean it

Got this because wanted to have a stethoscope where I wouldn't necessarily have to get too close to COVID-19 patients during examination (I'm a hospitalist). Works perfectly when detached from the tubing to the earpiece and paired to my iPhone using the app and Bluetooth earphones. The volume amplification & noise reduction work quite well. I have hearing loss in my R ear so this comes in so handy. Battery life is excellent. I do have two requests: 1. It'd be nice to have a volume slider on the app so you know what volume level it's set on. 2. Since I'm using it without the physical stethoscope earpiece it'd be nice to have a cap that seals the proximal end of the device (proximal to the earpiece) to further suppress outside noise. Going to Home Depot to see if I can jury-rig something. Nonetheless it's a fantastic product & my singing its praises to my colleagues.
