I am a 2nd year resident physician. This attachment does what the company says - amplify sounds. It has been helpful in diving into and analyzing murmurs. I get the “Wow, what is that? Let me try it” quite often. However, I have been having trouble filtering out heart sounds when I am listening to the lungs and vice versa. That, I presume, is a work in progress. I am satisfied with the product and will be willing to try anything better than this in the future. The charge lasts longer than what I expected. I have been using it on a single full charge for over 2 weeks now. Recorded sounds are easily audible via headphones.

The sound and ability to block out residual noise around the patient is exceptional. The only problem is that the device does not fit well on all stethoscopes and can cause the bell to easily fall off. There should be some way to prevent this.

My initial start with the core was not a good start. The first device they me would not stay on long enough to complete an exam nor could I hear anything when the device was off. Their customer service was fantastic and they had a replacement sent out very quickly. I’ve been using the replacement for a month now and for now I’m impressed. The battery lasts more than a week with my usual usage. The noise cancelling function works well and the amplification works very well with my DLX scope. I’m very happy with my purchase and with Eko’s customer service.

I have been using the Core for a couple of weeks now. It definitely takes some getting used to with the louder and therefore somewhat different sounds on auscultation. I did pick up a murmur that I never would have heard otherwise. Seems like a good piece so far. Discreet enough that doesn’t look particularly out of place.

I have used the first generation This is smaller sleeker and less extraneous noise Is there a reason that the attachment has to be so close to the chest piece other than it would require you to cut the tubing on the stethoscope The attachment invariably touches the skin and I have been disinfecting the stethoscope in between patients and I hope it holds up The competition has been advertising that their scope has been cleared for all disinfectants (Think Scope) Also you should have provided an attachment to plug into the wall rather than just Providing a usb cable as I often leave it in an exam room Anthony G LENDINO MD

Just got the Eko attachment. Added to my Welch Allyn Harvey Elite Stethoscope. It really amplifies the sounds. Turn off and hear the difference. Great tool to have. Ron V.
