“I feel the CITYRIDER has better ride quality than others in the same category. The appearance of the overall machine is far better. The riding surface is better. It feels like a "sturdier" machine than others. The wood board has a nice aesthetic. It is wide enough to stand with my feet side by side but also more than enough to put my feet in-line and still not bump the rear fender. The vertical tube is stout and feels sturdy. I like the release mechanism being on the front of the neck so that the tube doesn't whack my head during collapsing as it does on scooters where the mechanism is on the back. The display is really nice. The hand brake is decent although I needed to lubricate the cable before it worked smoothly. Charging is about 40% per hour and the LED on the charger turns from red to green when it is done charging.
The battery state indicator on the handlebar gives me range anxiety. I went on a 5 mile round trip to my kids' school and back (very flat) and the battery started blinking the last bar as soon as I departed on the return leg. Despite that, I was able to run 25km/h the whole way with two stops at intersections. By the time I had opened the garage door and taken off my helmet, the readout was showing two bars. I understand that there's an effect on voltage while drawing power, especially max power, but to be blinking one bar during an entire 13-minute ride and two bars after stopping for 1-2 minutes? The speed take-up is smooth but I feel takes too long. It would be more helpful to have turn signals viewable from the front and at the handlebar height. More often it is the person I see in front of me that I need to signal to.
The kickstand is hard to get flipped down. The stub is nearly covered by the board in the up position. Other than the speed range selection, there's no adjustability. With the four buttons on the handlebar and the nice display, there ought to be a way to have adjustable settings without an app or Bluetooth.”
“I bought 2 of these scooters for my wife and I. So far they have met all expectations and have been a blast. At this price point it's the best value I could find.”
“1- Great Smooth Ride
2- Long-range battery
3- Lightweight and very portable
This scooter gets 5***** all around for being the best value and quality on the scooter market!”
“I have my city rider for a week now. I ride it back and forth to work 5 days a week (weather permitting). This is the third scooter I've ordered in the past 4 months and wish it was the first. $100 more than the gotrax but worth every penny and much less than the segway that took forever with the worst customer service which is very mediocre. This is really the best scooter for the money out there. Plenty of speed but most importantly the acceleration is there.”
“Having previously owned a Xiaomi M365, I can say that this scooter is superior in practically every way, while costing slightly less (or about the same, depending on where you buy from). The build quality is fantastic, the lights are brighter, and the turn signals are a welcome addition. My only complaint is that it does seem a tiny bit heavier, but that's not a huge issue. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the cruise control, but having used it, it is fantastic and really beats having to hold down the accelerator on the M365. We'll see how this scooter holds up, but so far so good. Highly recommend.”
“I ordered the scooter about 10 days ago and finally got it. Definitely worth the wait. The scooter looks amazing and rides good. Not a fan of the cruise control but will get used to it. I plan on using it to the train and back which is about 1.5 mile trip. The scooter feels solid. The headlight is very bright. The turn signals are a plus but in NYC I don't think they will be much of use. The tired feel good and comfy through bumps. I weight about 170lbs 5'11 tall and the scooter picks up pretty good.
Overall I'm happy with the scooter.”
