“I opted to get the PRO version of the Mantis as my first electric scooter (jumping in on the deep end of the pool). This thing has crazy acceleration, so far I've only been brave enough to push it up to 30 MPH. The controller on the Pro has a lot more configuration options, so I was able to dial down the power so I didn't feel like it was going to throw me off if I jammed the accelerator a little too hard.
A part of me wishes the handle bars could fold down, but I've gotten more used to maneuvering the thing around and it hasn't been a big issue. Mine also came with one of the settings (P2) set to a different value than the recommended default, which caused the speedometer to read incorrectly at first, but once I noticed the issue it was a quick fix.
I had to reach out to support over a minor issue, and they responded with a solution later that same day. Overall very happy with my purchase, will try to talk some of my friends into getting scooters of their own”

Will use this primarily locally to get around and if I have to get into NYC by train to get to meetings....”
“Just got the Pro Mantis yesterday. I have test drove a lot of scooters and this Mantis pro delivered from what it has advertised. Had no issues with delivery and the package was perfect. It came with a user friendly manual and a multi-tool for assembly. I wished it came with a bell :( The ride so far is very comfortable and tons of torque and speed. I'll be using this ride for a 3 mile commute to work mainly. But I can't wait to unleash the Mantis Pro potential along the California coast. Btw Peter provided excellent customer service and I highly recommended Fluidfreeride to anyone looking for a scooter for any terrain and personal riding styles.
