MANTIS PRO V2 - fluid Edition Mantis Pro V2 Reviews

I'm a grown man of 52, 6'1" 185lbs. I've had my mantis pro for about six weeks and I feel like a teenager. This thing has Great acceleration. I've maxed it out at 44mph on the speedo on a full charge. I'm not getting 45 mile range due to my use of turbo and hills ect. Still, there is plenty of range for my needs. I also picked up the fast charger but haven't really needed it yet as it easily charges overnight. The suspension is good but I'd like a little more shock absorption. Also, the stem feels solid, but there's a touch too much flex. I'd like it to be a bit more rigid. All in all, this thing is a blast! I love kicking in the turbo and flying by all the other electrics on the trail.

I got my scooter yesterday at noon and it came with 60% battery. It took about 4 hours to fully charge although the light stayed red on the charger, the display on the scooter said 100%. I hooked up the fingerprint lock and got it to read my thumb but no idea how to add additional prints... instructions would be nice. The scooter is awesome, I love it. I find that I keep it in Eco and single motor most of the time. The high speed is fun but the breaks are a bit touchy at high speeds, then the ABS kicks in and I wonder if it's gonna stop... I do worry when it's time to adjust the breaks... again no instructions on maintenance. I started out with the 2019 widewheel... the Mantis Pro makes the widewheel feel like a toy now. I highly recommend this scooter.

Mantis Pro is a great buy for the price point. Very fast and well built! More importantly Fluid Free Ride is a great company! They'll make sure you're taken care of if there's anything wrong which is super important when making this kind of purchase. Out of all the places I could have chosen to buy from, I'm happy I ended up here!

Built really well, very sturdy, crazy fast. I've had it for about a month and have figured out a good way to use 1 or 2 motors and the eco vs turbo boost. I pretty much leave 1 motor on except when going up hills. I weigh 230 lbs and the scooter does ok on 1 motor but when you switch to 2, it's fast uphill. I suggest starting out with 1 motor and practicing with the throttle before moving to 2 motors. Also the regenerative brake setting (when set on) makes braking a bit precarious when moving fast. I've left it shut off. The suspension and brakes are amazing and I'm very happy. A few other things - the throttle and brake angle was not ideal for me and I adjusted both down a bit until I found a good angle. Also, I did have to tighten a few bolts and screws on the scooter right after receiving it so I suggest you do the same. Support from fluidride has been excellent. Highly recommend!

Right out of the box I noticed on lowest setting possible it took off well! Maybe it was sensitive because it hadn't been used. I've hit 70kph (and my friend hit 72) when going downhill. 64kph is max for flat terrain. Suspension is great and you can fly over speed bumps without it jiggling. I do notice the scooter sometimes shakes when it's going 60. Specifically the handle bar. Maybe that's because it's much more sensitive to motion at higher speeds? The black rubber covers for the nuts on the wheels frequently come off. I do hope the company will send me some backups! The display is great. The final thing is the brakes. On the Pro version, the brakes can either be really good or really sketchy. Sometimes when I'm going slow and I bake really slowly, it'll skid and you'll hear the noise (keep in mind i'm not going fast or braking fast). However, other times, when i'm going 70kph down a hill, it'll come to a complete stop in 4 seconds without any skidding whatsoever. So that part is a bit confusing and inconsistent. Also, in general the brakes are sensitive. You can push them down to a certain point and once you hit that point it'll really feel like your slamming on the brakes. This can cause the scooter to shake and swerve. I've had this for a few weeks but I've rode it a lot. I also fell once and the scooter went flying and created a huge pile of dust (I was surprised the shaft didn't disconnect), but this thing is a BEAST... so zero damage (except a millimeters worth of paint scrape on the handle bar). The acceleration was still the same afterward and the motor felt normal. The brakes were still a bit inconsistent (and are opposite sides from the bicycle brakes, but for a specific reason). You can change so many settings (such as acceleration). I prefer it on the highest acceleration mode, but occasionally it glitches and the acceleration is slow even tho it shows it's on a high mode.. what I do to fix it is I change the setting to the lowest, then back to the highest, turn off the machine, toggle off Turbo and then toggle it back on and turn the machine on and it's fixed. So overall, if you like adrenaline, this is the scooter for you.

Recieved latest version with the stem upgrade, customer service response was quick! Much better than trying to ship direct from China myself.

Love the scooter (mantis pro) and the service was great! The only issue I've discovered is that that battery indicator always shows 100%. The voltage display is working, so I rely on that. it's a beast of a scooter.
