Elements changed my life and created my body and understanding of how to train my body like nothing else. Now IS feels like the opportunity to really challenge and develop my strength in a way I’ve never done before and I’ve been at since childhood to DI collegiate athlete and military and every training program under the sun. But now I can move and play with my kids with more freedom in my body than I’ve ever felt since being a kid and I love training everyday. GMB is different. It works.

I love the Integral Strengh program, I have been doing it for some years now, and it is now on its third version, wich proves that its very cost efficient also! I have done the bodyweight program several times, and I am now on my second run of the Rings program, and i have been enjoying it a lot. This new version of the program is even more complete wich is great! Great value for cost!

After spending considerable time on my mobility I started IS 10 weeks ago and I look forward to every session. Aches in my elbows have gone and I'm back to swinging my 4 year old round which he absolutely loves. I've nearly got my first pull-up and keeping up with the best of them since recently returning to martial arts (JKD).

"I play real sports, not trying to be the best at exercising!" Kenny Powers. I don't play "real sports". I do play " real life". I'm not trying to be the best at bench pressing or calf raises. I'm trying to make my body life proof. If you're trying to do the same then Integral Strength is right for you. Bring some tools; rings, parallettes, or not. Just bring yourself and the floor.

Initially I was skeptical of the approach of focusing on only 2-3 exercises during each session and timed effort rather that rep targets or training to failure, but I feel like I have gotten stronger in my upper body and have better integrated my arms, shoulders, and torso. I am doing the program concurrently with Elements and Karate training, so only manage 1-2 sessions per week. I also had to take 3 months off because of a Karate wrist injury: I couldn't figure out how to modify the IS exercises around my injury even though I could still do pushups on paralletes pain-free. I do Ryan's full wrist warmup from youtube before each session, but still sometimes feel like the A-frame and bear-related moves are hard on both of my wrists.

My favorite thing about Integral Strength is that I am building strength where I need it in my daily life. I enjoy weightlifting but it didn't feel like it translated to strength in everyday situations. After only a few weeks of consistently giving about 15 minutes a day I have the strength to shovel a foot and a half of snow, move or lift things easily and just a general feeling of well being.

I've searched a lot of programs to help build upper body strength and Integral Strength is one of the only ones that has worked for me. Lots of great exercises and easily adaptable to a busy schedule. And like everything GMB the philosophy behind it is solid!

With 20+ years of self defense martial arts and weighlifting and other various routines and exercises I can say that GMB is a unique platform. Integral Strength specifically is one of my favorite programs of theirs. It was the first program where I could go back and really see the difference it has made in my body control and strength together. You get to feel the improvement over time rather than see numbers go up how you would with weightlifting or trying to hit certain times in your runs. The approach is playful yet serious, drilling movements you may have never explored, hitting muscles you may rarely engage yet help you in your everyday life. If you're curious, it's worth a try. Stick with it, it is one of the few programs I've encountered where you can actually be consistent and feel good about it.
