I love the sword itself. Probably my favorite in my collection. Only real problem is that it was delivered with a broken saya so it would stay sheathed.

I apologize for the incident. Could you please contact our customer service team and send us a few photos of the broken saya? We’ll check with the smith to see if a replacement can be sent, since your blade has a custom length. If that’s not possible, we’ll make sure to compensate you accordingly. Thank you for your understanding!

I like that you can custom build your own sword to meet your budget. For the price it is very quality compared to other swords on the market. You can buy a fancy looking $400 sword on that has all the special effects and add ons but the blade is still dull and cheap steel, just a wall hanger that looks great is what you get from ebay or amazon. Here, I went with an entry level sword and made the sharpest cheapest build at swordis for $140, was a fun experience and a great deal, the sword cuts well and seems very balanced, especially for the price, it cannot be beat at that price. If you are looking for a great place to enter the hobby, this is the place to go. I also built a sword that is very expensive, might never afford it, but its on my wishlist.

Thank you so much for my first katana, I had to wait until Christmas to open it but I recieved it before then. The blade is a beautiful black, looks durable, strong and came sharp, oiled and well wrapped with the sword bag. The Saya is beautiful and the whole sword is a work of art. I look forward to cutting with it and taking care of it.

The handle rapping ( Artificial silk, Hineri-Maki i.e. normal rap, one side raysikin) came off after little use
