“This is my first purchase from Swordis and Hanbon Forge. I am so impressed with the quality of the katana and the outstanding custom service from Swordis, this will not be my last purchase. In fact, I am currently working on my next two custom katanas. I have zero complaints with the katana. From the saya to the blade, the workmanship and quality exceeded my expectations. “For $350 I'm very pleased with my katana! “The katana I received greatly exceeded my expectations! The wrap is super tight, the blade is sharp, and the fittings are snug. This is an amazing product. Mine also took only 3 and a half weeks to arrive.”

“I bought through Swordis a custom katana made by Hanbon and it was worth the money and the waiting. I have to thank to people at Swordis for their prompt responses and understanding because every time I had an issue about my order, their customer service helped me fast. 10/10 for them. Now, about Hanbon, their product was way over my expectations, considering they are selling low-middle price range products. The scabbard and the sword are impeccable, everything very tight and firm, especially the ito wrap, fuchi and kashura, as well as the habaki that has no rattle. The blade is very beautifully crafted, with folding patterns, very distinctive hamon and a razor sharp edge. I am very happy with my sword and if I will want another one in the future, I am pretty sure I'll use Swordis and Hanbon services again.”

“Not to happy with my first purchase.They forgot to write my request on the blade, the Mei.About a 2 month wait.Then received it with no stand that I paid for bummer.The katana is ok .Its my first so I can’t compare it yet.I hope they send my stand.”

Hey Vernon! I want to sincerely apologize for this situation. The forge has been overwhelmed with orders lately, and it seems a few sword stands were accidentally left out of some shipments. We contacted the forge right away, and your stand has already been shipped. About the MEI, just to clarify; mei refers to the inscription on the tang, not the engravings on the blade. If you wanted blade engravings, you would need to leave a note at checkout or contact our customer service team. We're also working on adding this option directly to the builder soon.
