“My boyfriend and I went glamping for 1 night at this magical abandoned zoo in the catskills. The only bummer was that we only stayed 1 night. The owner Ben was very friendly, knowledgeable and would quickly respond to our needs. We stayed at the “Mountain View” space and DAMN was it a view!! We explored the abandoned zoo during the day at our own risk and enjoyed the eire grounds. We cooked dinner by campfire and ate at the picnic table provided. In the evening we enjoyed listening to the night time crickets and critters while we stargazed. We ended up seeing 5 shooting stars that night!! The air was perfectly cool while we slept on the memory foam mattress provided and we woke up to a beautiful sunrise. We sadly packed up our car and immediately spoke about how much more we wanted to explore when we returned.

“The view was nice, but we did not consider the site to be much of a step up from regular camping. The grill supplied was broken and rusty, so we couldn't use it, the grill for the campfire was also broke, so we couldnt use that either. The picnic table was also broken, but still usable. Also, the mattress was worn out and we could feel every slat. Needsless to say, I have a sore back now. We went hiking along the trails within the old zoo and there was a lot of trash. We definitely didn't get what we thought we were paying for.”
