Surprised my husband with a quick weekend getaway and our very first tentrr stay at Abandoned Zoo Mountain View location, and we absolutely loved it! Owners/Camp Keepers Cathy & Ben are really great! This location truly offers the best of both worlds - you can have as much of a full on camping trip as your heart desires OR if you want to experience the pros of camping but still have access to some amenities and a regular bathroom, that’s an option here as well! They have a centrally located Inn on the property (used to be the giraffe house when it was a zoo and has been fully restored to an Inn - it’s amazing!) with really neat game room and kitchen areas, access to a regular bathroom and even a hot tub! If you stay at one of the tentrr sites, it’s a little bit of a walk or quick ride up to the inn, but the fact that it’s even available to use was just great! Also, have to point out two things I was really surprised by: 1-our stay was late October (so it was a bit cold at night) but the wood burning stove in the tent kept us super cozy and warm (although it was not as easy as expected to get it started -but once going, it was great)! 2-it started down-pouring halfway through the night and it did not let up (part of why we didn’t get to see/do all we wanted to at the location) BUT we literally did not get a drop on us or our things and it was the best sleep ever (the bed was super comfy too)! One more side note - there is just a ton of fun activities in this area, we stopped at a nearby brewery and a winery and a apple/pumpkin picking farm and there’s so many other things as well (there’s a shooting range and horseback riding and some other fun stuff on the same road!) Just wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy the site and trails more, but we’ll be back for sure!

This was our first time camping with tentrr and it was so amazing that we are going to make it a yearly tradition. The wood burning fire stove was so neat and cozy for night time when it got chilly out. The giraffe inn up the path was also very beautiful and had a variety of amenities including fresh brewed coffee. Cathy and Ben were very friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend!

Cathy and Ben were extremely accommodating during our visit. The property was amazing to explore, and there are lots of nearby hikes to visit. We will be back again!

Great spot, especially during the fall. And the view is awesome! They have free coffee and other little touches too that make the place great. Recommend.

Took my wife here for our anniversary. Very interesting property. Loved exploring the abandoned ruins of the old game farm. The Long Neck Inn was beautiful, and the Tentrr sites were all top notch. We were the only ones staying at the time, so we checked out the other campsites on the property. I'd say the Mountain View site is the nicest, but you can't go wrong with any of them to be honest. We'll definitely return when we get the time.

We had an awesome stay at the Catskills Game Farm! We stayed at the Mountain View tentrr site which was such a great spot! This place is perfect for the experienced camper as well as for first timers! You can have all the comforts or fend for yourself! There were 4 campers and our little dog with us on our trip! Finding the location was easy, and our camp coordinator was easy to get a hold of for any questions or concerns. Parking was literally right next to our site! We had a beautiful bathroom near by at the Inn along with a full kitchen with a fridge and freezer for food, a sink to wash dishes and a huge stove and range to cook...although we cooked everything over our fire at our site! Ben left us a whole pile of fire wood to use which was great! But there was also woods all around our site which we used to gather branches and kindling as well as simply more wood to chop! Cause every camp trip should include wood chopping!! Either way you want to swing it, there is plenty of fuel for your fire and wood burning stove in the tent!!! The tentrr tent was super cozy and since it started to rain on us our last day it was a nice place to gather and make a warm fire in the stove. We also used the stove top to heat up our breakfast and boil water for our coffee! So cool! Exploring the abandoned zoo was so much fun! The hot tube at the inn was super relaxing and it was great to have access to a warm shower!! If we had kids with us they would be in heaven! Lots of bug heavy machinery all around! Such a good time! I’m sure I am forgetting things but all in all we had an awesome time! Look forward to coming again! Thanks so much for the wonderful hospitality!!

This was my first time ever sleeping outside in a tent and it was by far a amazing and unforgettable experience, our tentkeeper ben was really incredibly accommodating and allowed us access to the INN on site which made our stay even more comfortable, the tent site had everything you would need to just sit back and relax , the bed was very comfortable and the blankets and covers a huge added plus to our stay, we were allowed to fully explore the grounds of the catskill game farm zoo which is now abandoned, it was so cook exploring this place, it is a must see. I cannot say enough great things about this site, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our stay, we Will definitely be going back.

We loved our CampKeepers who were extremely helpful, very communicative, and all around great people. The campsite itself was breathtaking--an incredible view. We had the Mountain Site. The tent is very cute as well!! For us, the bathroom was a little too primitive to use--especially at night. They did have a proper bathroom a 5 - 6 minute walk away in the main house that is under construction but for night time use but a little too far. The bench fabric was also moldy and probably should just be removed. overall, we loved the location, the fact that we were isolated and that it was true camping and we were extremely private from any other campers which was a big plus. If you don't mind using an outdoor bathroom and having no running water, I think it would be great.
