“The Mountain Site was beautiful and staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. It's accessible and gets a lot of sunlight. Lot's of things to do in the area and beautiful nature.
BUT... please be aware that there is a shooting range VERY close to the property. From 9am to 7pm all we heard was the sound of gunshots. uncomfortably loud, not like a distant noise. We traveled with kids and they were scared. So if you don't like the sound of war, book on a day that the shooting range is closed or choose one of the other sites (there are 3 other tentrr sites on this property that are located a little better and further in).
I'd have loved to have known this in advance, I am posting so other people can make a decision with this in mind.”

“We just finished our camping trip at the Old Game Farm (June 2020) We had a nice time exploring the abandoned zoo via bike ride! The tent was rustic but clean as expected! All of the camping spots are secluded from each other so you feel like you are completely alone in the woods. Although our mountain view camp was fine, after seeing the other camps we probably would've picked a different site. (This one is quite close to the main parking lot) It rained a full day on our trip and the tent kept our stuff nice and dry but we didnt let that stop our fun, we took a nice wet hike to Kaaterskill Falls! Thank you for sharing your property with us!”

“This was a one of a kind stay. Both Ben and his wife were exceptionally accommodating. The sight and the equipment was is good shape. It was quiet and each of the sights are decently removed from on another so you really feel like you have the whole preserve to yourself. We are coming back next time with friends.”
