“I got the Big Jims, but wanted a bit more of a kick and these chilies are just what I needed in some of the recipes. I tend to mix them up a bit because they are hotter than the Big Jims med hot but not so hot that I cannot handle them. I like them and have gotten them for the last two years. “Please ignore my complaints about the heat from my earlier review. As Elaine explained to me in her email, most of the heat in the Sandia Select variety they ship is in the meat at the top of the pod and in the veins. When I cooked an omelet today using a whole pod, the heat was perfect. The Sandia Select variety has more meat than any other Sandia chile that I have ever tried. This company really does care about customer service and satisfaction. My thanks to Elaine and all her staff for being so patient and helpful. You can expect a larger order from me next year.”

“I placed two orders this year. I ordered 50lbs of Sandias and 50lbs of the Hot Lumbre. I roasted the green chile as soon as I received them and have started to consume the product regularly now. My batch of Sandia Green Chile this year was a disappointment. When the shipment arrived, I had a couple of pounds of rotten Chile at the bottom of the box. I didn't make a big fuss about it because it is produce being shipped from New Mexico to Georgia. However, I am finding that the heat this year with the Sandia Chile is very inconsistent, mostly being very mild. For the condition it arrived in and the inconsistent heat, I give the Sandia Green Chile two stars.”

“Been ordering for years now and will continue order the fresh one. Maybe a couple two three get a little soft on the trip from New Mexico to Kauai but that's not going stop me from getting my yearly fix of Hatch chilies roasting over my open fire.... like Christmas in August!!! Product sells itself, Great people shipping and handling is just a real bonus. Thanks Guys”
