“Couldn’t be happier with my 2020 Joe Parkers. The box came on time and the condition of the chiles were beautiful. I ordered the Big Jims last time, and they were a bit too hot for my palate. The milder Joe Parkers are just right, and they peel so easily, much more so than the Big Jims, after being roasted.”

“Super yummy! We roasted ours on our gas grill, then did the marathon peel & chop. Not super hot but super tasty. Great communication by the store folks as weather impacted delivery dates. Worth the wait!”

“Great delivery. 3rd year for ordering my Hatch Chilies. I roasted, stripped and clean 10 lbs of Joe Parkers, and then put them in my smoker for 4 hours. Plus with some other peppers and onions I grew, went into a dehydrator until they were crispy and very smokey. Then into a spice grinder for my favorite rub. Great on eggs, pizza and ribs. Thanks Hatch, you guys rock.”

“We just finished our first Hatch Green Chili meal of JoeParkers - it was awesome. All the rest are in the freezer, some roasted, other green. We have a bunch of recipes (many from your store) that we look forward to trying out. After we received our shipment, we called our son in DC and told him. He immediately placed his own order. “I’ve ordered this in the past and been very happy with fresh Chile, but this batch had quite a few rotten chilies and they did not peel well after roasting like they had in the past (likely due to age and softness). A few chilies were totally gone and several were partially rotten. Also, Fed ex decided not to actually deliver them for some reason and I had to go pick them up from a distribution center and finding the right location only happened after an hour on the phone with fedex (I realize this is not the Chile store’s fault but you should be aware of delivery issues). Was a bit disappointed this year—was not able to save any chilies for full rellenos but can do a casserole dish.”

Hi Melissa, It doesn’t look like you ever reached out to our customer service team about the issue. I’m afraid we don’t know about the issue unless the customer contacts us. I pulled up your order and saw that you did select 2-Day Air when checking out. We guarantee all Fresh chile orders which are shipped using 2-Day Air. About how many pounds of chile did you lose to spoilage? Please send us photos of the spoiled chile that you received. As soon as we get those photos we will schedule a reshipment! Thanks, Taylor

“Our 10 lbs. box had but ONE bad chile - looked like it was crushed. The rest were terrific! We canned most of them, and ate the rest roasted on the grill, in cheese crisps, burritos, etc. I also used them in a Green Chile Chicken Chili - outstanding. Love the FLAVOR of those fresh Hatch green chiles!”
