The pads on the pieces of the chess set are not fixed properly and the carving of the pieces could be better. Shame it is not made in GB

I giving it three stars as the pieces are a bit light. If you love to play chess this is not for you. But overall its not a waste of money.

Nice looking chess set but the board had scratches on and one of the pieces was split. Returned it and bought a different one.

Lovely set but NOT magnetic. A bit disappointed because I searched for magnetic chess set and was pleased to see a Jacques product amongst the options. Amazon, the items that come up should match the search accurately.

The packaging for the board looked really professional, made it feel like a quality product was going to be inside, but I was disappointed with the product itself, the board had glue marks, the inside had not been sanded, I didnt have high expectations because of the price I paid, but simple finishing elements have been missed, the chess pieces themselves were great had no issues with them, but most importantly the kids loved it

This was bought as an Xmas gift for my teenage Goddaughter. The packaging is very nice, quite classy. I didnt open the item as it was a present, but was a bit concerned as a few reviews mentioned dents in the board and pieces. I have since heard from the recipient and she loves it, so I can only assume everything was ok.The service was consistently good and personalised.
