Baby Chicks: Green Queen Easter Egger Female Reviews

Expected white and gray but turned out to be brown. Not sure if she’s a green queen. Coco is definitely an alpha chicken. A little bit of a bully. Great egger.

Coco is definitely a Green Queen! As mentioned on the website, Green Queens may vary in looks. "Most will be bearded; some will have lightly feathered legs and feet, and some will even have five toes! Its plumage color will vary, frequently blue, black and white, and sometimes even barred." If you scroll through the photos on the website, you will see several "versions" of this great bird! They definitely tend to be strong personalities!

This lovely lady, we call Queenie. She's 5 months old now and has the most amazing beard! She has a 5th toe and a couple of feathers on her feet. She had a bit of a tough time of it a couple of months ago, as a dog (not one of ours) got her. But she's very hardy and healed perfectly well within a few weeks. She has always been the lowest in the pecking order and honestly is not the brightest. But she's a sweetie and she's pretty! No eggs yet, but we're looking forward to getting some green ones. Would recommend her for a mixed flock.

Thank you for sharing about Queenie! We’re so glad to hear she’s doing well after her scare — what a tough and resilient girl! It sounds like she’s got such a fun mix of features with her beard, extra toe, and feathered feet — truly one of a kind. Even if she’s a bit lower in the pecking order, her sweet nature and beauty make her a wonderful addition to your flock. We hope those lovely green eggs arrive soon! Thank you for the kind recommendation and for giving Queenie such a caring home.

I love my GQEE chicks! I got two separate orders of two each, and I love how different they all are! One is all black, one is black/white barring, and two are brown with a really beautiful pattern. They are very fun, great personalities and don’t mind being picked up by me or the kids.

Thank you for sharing the photos of your Green Queen Easter Eggers - and the very adorable little boy!! One of the most exciting things about this breed is exactly what you’ve noticed! Every chick grows up with its own unique look and personality. From sleek black to striking barring to those lovely patterned browns, no two are quite the same, which makes them such a fun addition to a flock. We’re so glad to hear they’re friendly with you and the kids. Please give them all a snuggle from all of us here at MPC!
