Baby Chicks: Silked White Easter Eggers Female Reviews

4.5 Rating 151 Reviews
Great customer service. I ended up with one non-silked, satin easter egger and one Silked one, but with a deformed toe. They refunded me when I reached out to customer service with concerns. The regular silkie I received with them was as described and healthy. Both Silked Easter eggers are very sweet, with the satin one flying right to me every day and sitting on my shoulder. She sings when she sees me, often preens me, and loves cuddles. The other one matured much slower than the others and struggled with her toe. With extra care for a few months and manually putting her on the bar, she now roosts on her own. They lay beautiful light sage and light green-blue eggs. Their bond is very special and the satin one spent the first few months especially looking after her sister with the bad toe, making sure she wasn't bullied and leading her to food and water. I would purchase again for temperament.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We are glad our customer service team was able to step in and make things right, and we truly appreciate your patience and care throughout the process. It is wonderful to hear how sweet and people oriented both of your girls have turned out to be. Stories like this are exactly why temperament matters so much to us. The bond you described between the two sisters is incredibly special, and it speaks volumes about the gentle and nurturing nature these birds can have. Your dedication in giving extra support during those early months clearly made a difference, and we love knowing they are living their best life with you. Thank you again for your understanding, your care, and for choosing us. We would be honored to help you again in the future.

5 stars for being the sweetest, friendliest birds ever. They are just about the same size as my silkies and the rooster was huge. I ordered saddles with wing coverage because he was tearing them up. I eventually moved them out after one quit laying. She is sweet. I'm hoping the stress of the rooster was the problem. They laid beautiful green eggs. I have them on Silkie 23% layer feed and Kalbach layer feed. Rooster booster vitamins and poultry cell twice a week in the water. The black silkies that I received with them lay usually every day. I've found that with most of my silkies. Sometimes, it was every other day. They slow down after 3 years. I was getting 4 or 5 beautiful green eggs a week Now, I'm getting 2 green eggs a week. The silkies I bought with them are consistently laying 2 a day unless one goes broody. The are sweet as can be, and I love them. Great pets but not really good layers.

Dolly Parton is not remotely silked lol, she’s just a very pretty white chicken but we love her just the same. She has a very sweet curious temperament. Right in the middle of the pecking order, not silkie esque! But a cool chicken nonetheless.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We have to admit, “Dolly Parton” sounds like quite the superstar, silked or not. Sometimes those feathers don’t get the memo, but it sounds like her personality makes up for it in spades. The MPC guarantee will cover her and we have sent you email separately. A sweet, curious middle-of-the-flock lady is exactly the kind of chicken that keeps the whole coop running smoothly. Give Dolly a little stage bow from us—she may not be silked, but she’s clearly still a showstopper!

We got one silked white easter egger as a replacement chick in our order. She is just the sweetest thing. Very friendly and so adorable. Her and her sister are 7 weeks old currently and they spend the evenings on my lap watching TV.
