What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit?
They were able to explore world records in a field of their interest (Many linked to PE and Science). They used their literacy skills to investigate how these world records were created and completed and how they could design and promote theirs.
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit?
The opportunity to repeat our created DIY World records to assess record holders and whether we can accurately and fairly repeat the world records created. Monitoring new world records set both nationally and internationally.

The kit encouraged a lot of discussion and critical thinking around components of mathematical thinking such as measurement, accuracy, mathematical language, fair testing, and statistics.
