How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students? The kit encouraged students to think about how they could quantify and measure a task to find a winner-they often overlooked this when brainstorming ideas.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? HPE- Maths- Literacy
We really enjoyed this kit! I chose it as I was looking for a resource with a strong mathematical focus, and wanted students to learn measurement skills in context (while having fun). We spent lots of time planning our records, and then had a "record day" where we attempted as many as we could. Some turned out to be a little too creative and therefore impossible, which was a great learning curve in itself.

This kit was a great opportunity to develop relationships amongst our ākonga. We found creative and exciting ways to incorporate world records with a lot of time spend incorporating aspects of measuring, oral language and physical activity. Overall, we had a lot of fun!
