Olive-I loved the cakes as they were soft and bubbly. I hated the apple as I don't like it cook. I liked learning that you can change the amount of sugar in a cake. Kobe- Baking is fun. I liked baking. We got to mix the ingredients and see how it rose. I hated the chickpeas.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The chickpeas were an interesting choice and got them thinking! The bubbles and doing several batches of cakes allowed them to see science in baking.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
They have talked about cooking since and when they go to enviro club they have continued to talk about the components of baking
How effective was this kit in promoting healthy food in your classroom?
It got them thinking about what vegetables they liked and didn't like. We also added in extra vegetables from the school garden which the students picked and collected.

Why vegetables are important and how they can still taste yummy.
