I brought car insurance through confused.com on 13/10/20 which started on 19/10/20 only to receive an email on the 11/11/20 asking to send my proof of no claims and 4 pages of my v5 which I did, then I received another email on the 25/11/20 telling me to pay £74.99 which £50 out of it is an admin fee. I rang them up telling them it was a honest mistake but they insisted I must pay it. I really feel like I am being ripped off.

Worst insurance company I have ever used pick up on discrepancy on details after the 14 day period then charge you a bomb for it absolute joke of a company how can dropping two accidents to one up the price by 160 😡

Very bad experience with them. I need to make extra payment 100 because of some employee fault. I suggest you got many other insurance company who knows how to respect their customers.

Been with first central for years and this year they put my premium up by £800. Went to another company for more or less the same price as last year!!!

Where to start. Check out Google reviews. Very different. Awful faceless company. Online policy area is a joke. I've got 3 policies with 1st central and I really regret going for the cheaper one. Should have stuck with LV. They send a huge list of documents you need to provide, which I felt was unnecessary and in breach of data protection. Complained but no response. They just cancelled my policy and charged £75 despite having all the docs they requested. Clowns. Avoid

Disappointed with the first Central because I am a client with them and I had to look online to get a bit of a cheaper insurance which I called them directly and they gave me very high insurance and then online it works cheaper as a new customer and I think that is not fair to customers

Would not recommend this company at all! All guidance set out by the financial conduct authority and the association of British insurers - to support customers and adapt policy’s to ensure customers are still covered during the COVID-19 pandemic, is being completely ignored and dismissed, leaving me uninsured for an accident that wasn’t my fault. they’re rude and very dismissive! Please don’t fall into the same trap as I did. Im now in a position where my only hope is the financial ombudsman!

Disgraceful company. Have now paid more in fees than I’ve paid them for my policy because of their own incompetence. Complaints go unanswered, to escape them they want to charge more fees. Please avoid at all costs, they’re cheap but cheap for a reason!!!

They cancel my insurance because: Proof of when you became a UK resident. Do not trust this company.

Do not trust this company. Give you a quote, you accept and then they charge you extra by saying they have not received your no claims discount. They then change their mind and say they have found it but are charging you extra for mileage that you have not asked for and that you do not use. Customer services take at least 1 hour of your time and then tell you that they cant help you. All I can say is if you have any sense avoid avoid avoid!!! You don't want to be charged an extra £30 plus an extra £50 admin for something that you haven't asked for! As you can probably tell I am not a happy customer!

Set you up, cancel the insurance and charge cancellation because of insufficient documents for proof of address. Landlord letter isn’t enough and weren’t very patient with us. They charged fees for them cancelling the account. Appalling!!!

have been a customer with them for 4 years. when renewing my car insurance over the phone their worker obviously input the details wrong for the year I bought the car. the change to the policy to correct it cost ME £25, however it cost an extra FIFTY POUNDS just for an admin charge?! just to change a number on a policy? absolutely raging with them. when questioning, they put all the blame on you for not checking every single detail of the 100 pages they send you. scammers.

Won't let me cancel after one day even tho my insurance doesn't start till December after I read documents found out I wasn't able too drive any other car third party want to charge me £29

This company are absolute crooks. I added a 2nd driver 2 weeks ago and they charged me £30 admin fee (for making a change to existing policy I took out 2 weeks ago). I called them to cancel my policy today (spoke to Angela in Customer Services) and they charged me £50 cancellation fee, ANOTHER £30 admin fee and £20 for what the insurance would have been for this month that they missed out on. Absolute daylight robbery! Please do not fall for them showing as one of the cheaper ones on comparison sites, they clearly rob customers in other ways to make up their initial cheap quote.

Changed car on my policy they took payment for this and my old car which I changed. Now they don't know what I was paying for. Iwas on the phone over 1 hour and they found payment now changed my policy car and say that I need to pay 50 monthly and in policy what I found and agree it was 29. Rubbish company. Now contact again as you suggested. Nobody able to help me. Now wanted to cancel my policy and they said to ring tomorrow because now they don't have anyone to do this.caustomer service is open till 8 but cancelation till 5 and is nowhere infirmation tion about this. You stole my money and done mess with my documents also it is no documents about policy what I done online only you took my money. I will say about your company everywhere wher I can what you are doing wirh caustomers and how you are treating them. I loss 3 hours for conversation with 1 central. And a lots of nerves at the end of my pregnancy. You are legal thief. Be careful people.

Terrible service on the first day of purchase. I made a mistake and noticed in first 5 minutes after purchase. I wanted to move it one day forward for my policy to start. His answer was policy active for 12 months and not day longer.! I said well exactly i just want to move it one day forward to start , not to extend it. HE said this will be additional charge! ALREADY?! REALLY???! On moneysupermarket, if i change it one day forward, exactly same price! so literally they didn't want to make good impression in first 5minutes.! WOW. Just never had this before. Will never ever update with them again! Already cant wait for this year to be over.

my insurance due to start in 2 weeks time but noticed that they dont insure to drive other cars not owned by myself, so just phoned to try to add this, they said they dont give this service to anyone connected to motor trade as im a mechanic i cant have it fair enough I said and as its not yet started can I cancel and ill go back to esure, They want £50 fees to cancel??? it hasnt even started yet its only 2 days since I paid them in full. THIS COMPANY ARE NOT SHY IN TAKING MONEY FROM ANYONE IN ANY WAY THEY CAN at least dick turpin wore a mask. so now I'm forced to stay with them for a year but next year NO CHANCE

I have just received a £50 admin charge for an £11.13 change to my policy total payable £61.13. This is more than any insurance quotes I had at the time. I am unable to cancel the insurance because they made me supply copies of my v5 in full and no claims certificate, not having a scanner this took me time to do. Be ware if you do not the facility to send copy documents quickly. When I tried to cancel the policy they quoted over £100 in exit fees. Never again and ill make sure my friends and family are aware.

This is the worst insurance company to Insure your vehicle This is the worst insurance company to deal with. Very sweet when selling you the insurance but a different ball game when it comes resolving a claim unless you have a solicitor. Since putting in my claim for an accident, it has taken them 4 weeks to evaluate the vehicle following countless follow up calls. Due to desperation created for non responsiveness, you are pushing to agree a lower value just to get a quick resolution. You are then promised a BAC transfer in 3-5 working days, three weeks later, I am still waiting. You cannot document your complaint by email unless they do it for you but you are not availed the details of the complaint raised which now gives them a further 56 days from the day you raise the "complaint" to when they can offer a resolution to your case as per Financial ombudsman rules. During this time you are on you own be it if you had courtesy car on your insurance for as long as your car is a write off they say (makes you wonder what the point is of paying for it all the while). I Have cancelled my Insurance with them and WOULD NOT RECCOMEND ANYONE TO EVER USE THEM IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR ATTRACTIVE OFFERS on the outset.
