“Absolute disaster.. So frustrating when not one person I spoke to in their CS could help in any way with refund. I have been chasing for over 12 months now. Flight company confirmed that they refunded the money but still nothing.. I am done chasing now and I am going to seek legal action. No other route to take at this stage. I will never book with them again.”

“I am in the same situation as most people on this site. We have been trying to get our refund from Alpharooms for over 12 months,but just been lied to, or ignored, so decided that the only option left was to contact our bank 'Santander' and take out a section 75, but to my surprise and horror Santander said that they could not issue an s75 because Alpharooms had not refused to pay the refund. So what the hell are we supposed to do?. If this is the case none of us has any chance of getting our money back without taking them to court.”

“Same as everyone else with the no refund. Suppose to go away April 2020 and cancelled due to Covid and still awaiting a refund for hotel. Keep getting fobbed off by staff at the Indian call centre time after time. Just started sec75 with my credit card company as fed up dealing with these clowns! Every single person tells you something different every time. These staff members are clearly being told to lie to us by their seniors and are happy to sit there and do it. Alpha rooms have no intentions of paying anyone back at all. Everyone this has happened to should report this matter to police online as a theft as that's what I will be doing after this review. Anyone rading thats not booked with these clowns be warned!”

“AVOID! I’ve been waiting almost 12 months for a refund on my holiday that was cancelled. No one responds to emails, they’ve gotten rid of the chat function on their website and customer service over the phone wasn’t able to help. Disgraceful treatment and communication.”

“DONT EXPECT A REFUND! After cancelling my holiday due to COVID and receiving written confirmation from Alpharooms that I'm entitled to a refund they have since confirmed that I must wait 12 months because they paid for the booking with the hotel who will not refund Alpharooms for the same period. I checked with the hotel and it's a total lie! They have not paid for the booking at all, it's just an excuse to hold onto my money. You should also be aware they are not ABTA registered despite the claims made on their website - if you dont believe me check this out https://www.abta.com/abta-member-search”

“Worse company ever, booked in yhe knowledge that i could get a full refund before may 2021, i cancelled a month ago and now just getting email after email stating i have to have a credit note, im furious,i will never use these again even if a great deal came up, shocking customer service”

“I’m the Same two years they have had my money. I was told last year I would have to wait until April 21. So today rang them with no joy only to told I have to wait until April 22. This is a bloody joke how they are getting away with it I will never know.. But I will keep on to them I won’t let it go..”

“I booked a hotel through Alpha rooms, The website stated at time of booking a 20 deposit was required and full cancellation if required. I booked and the very next day cancelled through their website. I received an email to say that the booking would be cancelled and could I confirm, this I did. One month later I checked my bank account and a payment was taken of £828.85 for the booking. I requested cancellation through Alpha rooms on the 17/03/2021. The booking should have been cancelled and the second payment of £828.85 was due on the 14/04/2021. This money should not have been taken and I am now been informed by Alpha rooms that's they were waiting for a cancellation confirmation from the hotel. They did this on the 27th March. Why did the hotel proceed with taking more payments when they and Alpha rooms both knew that the booking was to be cancelled. I requested from both companies what date were they informed of the cancellation by Alpha rooms. I was told by Alpha rooms that if I did not accept a voucher they would not cancel the booking which implied that further payments would be taken. This can not be legal, both parties were informed one month before any payments were due that I wished to cancel and proceed to taken money from my account. This is stealing.”

“Same problem as every other person that has had money stolen from ALPHAROOMS. I have asked this question many times on many different review sites, WHY IS THIS COMPANY NOT IN COURT FOR FRAUD, AND THEFT. There is no excuse now for their getting away with this, they cannot keep using the excuse of the coronavirus epidemic. They are still taking money from the unsuspecting public, Has anyone from the authorities looked at these reviews, and if so why is nothing being done about this diabolical company.”

“I booked a holiday January 2020 and could not travel with covid. They then issued me a credit note to be refunded after the 31st March 2021 with only the amount for the hotel and not the flights, even though when I contacted the airline they have informed me they issued the refund to alpharooms. I have emailed about the issue and have not received any emails back!”

“Ibooked a holiday january 2020 paid full amount when i booked 1556 euro they issued me a voucher 1100 euro but cant seem to use it so shocked with them useing them for years cant believe they treat customers so bad it looks like i will have to go further about it”

“Dont use this company. Holiday booked June 2019, cancelled due to covid, started chasing refund early 2020, still no refund. They don't response to any of my 100's of emails and when you finally get to talk to someone you get told different things about refunds and the dates they will be. 20months on and still no refund, they are awful company no customer care at all. The shouldnt be allowed to trade and treat people like this.”

“DONT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!! We had an awful experience! Awful staff member! Our flight has been completely cancelled to America from Ireland and no refund! They said they can change it to a different date but when is anyone able to travel internationally? They were so unhelpful and she would barely let me speak! Terrible customer service! So we have to go to the lost of the money! Ridiculous!!!!!”
