I pre-ordered a yellow record from HMV at 29.99. I wanted the yellow version rather than the black. A couple of weeks later HMV emailed me to say that they used the wrong description and image on their website and that I had ordered the black version. If I didn’t want the black version I would have to fill out a form to cancel my order and order the yellow version at 34.99. I gave them a couple of opportunities to be accountable for their error but they would not budge. I have asked for my account to be deleted and will never use them again. Lots of competitors in this market who do a better job at the same or a better price.

Awful customer service. I preordered 2 funko pops in early January, these were released in March, however I did not receive them, I emailed them multiple times and they simply ignored them, a few days ago I tried to cancel the order because I was at the end of my tether and bought the items elsewhere because I was done waiting, however they conveniently charged me and sent the items 3 days later, so evidently they ignored my cancellation and I’ll have to go out of my way to return the items due to HMV’s customer service incompetence.

Shop in Stockport have the rudeness member of staff I have ever encountered, he was that bad I will never shop or buy online ever again.

Do your homework before you buy! I recently bought a vinyl LP (double) from one of your stores and paid £39.99. I checked six outlets afterwards and found that you were £10-£12 dearer in every case. I went on to price several different titles and again in every case yours were several pounds dearer. The term exploitation comes to mind. Knowing HMV problems in the past I would have thought you would be more competitive.

Stating on their website that this particular CD is in stock telling me after 1 week that they still waiting for it to be restocked. ..disaster experience online. .

Dreadful experience. First they send me two faulty vinyls and then they flag my review for “not being genuine” instead of just helping me with this. They received my return of two faulty vinyls on the 27/01/2021 (as confirmed by Royal Mail). I received no confirmation of this at all and they are not refunding my moneys Absolute thieves.

I pre ordered an item that was released on 1st February and not despatched yet I've asked for refund they ignore emails and so what they like get told be despatch one day then nothing get told be despatched today I keep emailing this rubbish obnoxious company asking for refund and again ignore this company is worse than ever and hope it goes bust it should of closed well before now specially when they don't think.of customers only making profit for a shop owner that shows nothing but arrogance, rudeness no respect and shoves all what a customer asks for to one side. a total disgrace and the owner Yankee Doodle needs to put head down in shame

ordered dvd online 31st January £9-99 get message stating delay despatching on standard delivery ok HMV Greed is a sin and no such thing as VIP I pay £6 for 2day delivery does mean I would have had it despatched and no doubt received by now item was a new release and pre order as item was out Monday 1st February. I've emailed asking them to cancel order and for a refund all morning of Tuesday 2nd and arrogant staff don't respond old of thought responding and sorting any issues out re a company would say alot well yes it does it states how rubbish hmv as got sunrise records nothing bright in staff shops are dull owner must be twice as dull to carry on keeping rude staff on that can not find time to rectify any issues that may arise hope you guys at hmv dont last long in a job and hmv goes under again as customers do not want these services at all

USE AMAZON INSTEAD. Absolutely disgusting experience. I returned (or tried to) two unwanted items, both sent in the same parcel. Spent three weeks telling them this and they still claim they've only received 1. They've got thieves working in their returns department is my only conclusion.

Appalling customer service they take days to answer emails there is now no calls being answered because of Covid-19, it seems to get blamed for everything. Poor excuse. They are not interested in providing customer service trying to get a refund for over 1 week. Avoid this company does not care

I ordered a dvd from HMV 11 days ago. Still nothing. I thought HMV were better than this. Amazon can still get my orders to me next day delivery. My son has been very very ill and we thought this would cheer him up being forced to stay in bed on his birthday. Thanks for ruining my sons Birthday HMV!

They cancelled my order. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or contact me with a resolution. I raised a complaint, and nobody was interested in giving me customer service. Absolutely dire way to treat customers. After shopping with them for 20 plus years I will never, ever use them again after this experience. Unfortunately, everybody is giving Amazon the monopoly because of the awful consumer experiences with other companies like HMV.

ordered dvd in time for christmas eg 2week ago got told they can order the item still tiday waiting for item rang boxing day got told computers down typical of a hull shop thought that by now new iwner would if had a better supplier also had the hmv outlets running smooth, even the staff dont chase goods up neither hmv total rubbish not even worth one star the dvd irdered was for a friends son to go towards his stocking filler but in the end very disappointed in the services

Last minute shopping in Basildon for a couple of presents...couldn’t find the DVD I was after so asked at the tills and was told there were 17 in stock so they should be somewhere...and that was it. Zero customer service, no wonder the company is in trouble...I won’t bother visiting again in the future

ordered item from hull branch, get told noorder in my name speak to manager item ordered in wrong details how stupid and pathetic can hmv get considering ive ordered from them for along time wont be long before hmv closes again poor quality services

HMV Middlesbrough advertises in massive letters ‘ 2 band T shirts for £20’. However, when you get to the till they tell you you that it only applies to the ones on the left hand side!!!!!!!! - there’s no sign to say that and alm the T shirts are together. Disgraceful- it’s illegal to advertise like that, but the staff couldn’t care less. Will never shop there again - terrible store.
