Appalling customer service from start to finish ... resulting in me taking time off work AND paying for a £100 ferry to be at the place of delivery, only for them to tell me the delivery would be a week later than they'd said! They'd had my order 8 days already ... and they'd called me 3 times to arrange a timed delivery slot too! I would NEVER touch these people again and would recommend everyone to avoid them. You are merely a number to them and will be treated like another one of the 'herd'. If your order not 'tick-box easy', you will be dealt with by ill-advised, untrained, non-responsive staff!

If you receive a defective mattress, and want to complain, you shall be ignored and never answered. So don't bother buying from them in the first place and save yourself the hassle.

APPALING customer service, don't waste your time. Don't waste your time ordering from Mattressman, We ordered our bed weeks ago, arrived with a damaged, cracked foot end board so obviously didn't assemble the bed, therefore having to sleep on a mattress on the floor. When we called to complain we were asked to email pictures of the faulty part which we did, then received no reply to the email or a curtesy phone call. My husband then called 3 days later (because they are closed on the weekends, even the customer services!!) and was told that as I had sent the email with the faulty pictures, they could only speak to me and not him. I then phoned and was told they would send out a new foot panel, and we would need to dispose of the old one our selves. A week later and we receive our new panel, the delivery driver gave it to me and left straight away, even though i ask him to stay just incase, as i already have 5 large boxes taking up space in my living room. Low and behold, the new panel was EVEN MORE damaged than the last and literally fell apart in my hand. I called mattressman several hundred times getting no answer, so selected the option to be put through to the operator, who just so happens to be in customer services at that very moment. I tell them about the panel and that we just want a refund and someone needs to come and pick all the items up as we are no longer interested in their product. I get put on hold for what seems like a year only to be told that the person they need to speak to from the supplier 'Isn't in today' We are asked to pack up the items in their original packaging, which against my better judgement we do, and that someone from the supplier will be in contact first thing Monday morning to arrange pick up and until the items are back with the supplier, they can't issue a full refund. After several phone calls and lots of 'I will look into this for you', my husband had to send a strongly worded email, just to get a reply. They finally booked a date with the "supplier" to come and pick up our faulty goods, which my husband had to take a day off work for, and of course, nobody shows up. After a few more phone calls to people that haven't got a clue what they are doing, we are given today as the date for another pick up, which I then have to take a day of work for. My husband is then forced to call again to see what time the collection will be here, being told they will be with me by 3pm. 5:30 comes and still no sign, so I called the DX customer services again to find out, being told, "our collections go up until 6pm, someone will be with you by them". My husband had also phoned at this time and got told that one delivery driver thought the other delivery driver was picking up and both had returned to the depot. We are now out of pocket by 2 days wages, have 6 big boxes of faulty products in our living room and still haven't been given our money back, an offer of compensation or even an apology. We have been bounced from person to person and can quite honestly say that we have never been treated so badly by a company, ever. Long story short, if you want crumby items, to make endless phone calls only to be put on hold for eternity, for no one to EVER call YOU back and to have to wait for your own money back (which we obviously still haven't got because no one has phoned us back yet) then Mattressman are the company for you, otherwise, don't waste your time with dreadful products and even worse customer service.

I didnt think it was possible to find customer service worse than TUI. Congratulations Matressman you have totally surpassed expectations. Firstly I purchased a wardrobe online delivery 2-3 weeks because it was ready assembled. Fine - I dont mind that, I definately didnt want to build it myself. Arrived home from work 2 days later to find a flatpacked wardrobe left outside my front door. Confused, I contacted mattressman who told me it was a mistake on their webisite and it was indeed flatpack but they hoped I enjoyed my wardrobe! I asked if it could be returned - it could but I would have to pay the courier charge as I should have refused delivery....! Hmmmm bit hard to refused what should have been a signed for delivery when its left outside your front door. So I decided to build the wardrobe. It is actually pretty sturdy, its just a shame about the 1cm gap between the doors and the missing handles. I tried to call their CS team however its either engaged or just rings out and emails must be going to an unmonitored box as replies never came. I finally took to social media to try and get a response which worked and the handles were sent out to me. The rest of my issues simply ignored. Word of advice, good customer service costs nothing and can be the difference between someone have a bad experience and still giving you a good review and possibly even returning. Really really poor.

Would never use this company again! Ordered bed frame - head board damaged-informed them straight away, sent photographic evidence, requested a replacement head board - simple request, simple job. That was over a week ago! I have had no response to emails, no one has ever returned my calls, I have had to do all the chasing -daily, yesterday eventually get told that there’s nothing they can do until they get response from supplier - a whole week and nothing from anyone! With no bed in the mean time! So request a refund and they collect the bed - told I can’t have a refund unless agreed with suppliers and will still take same time for them to ‘make a decision’ - what is there to decide...!? Item is defective, I am entitled to exchange or refund, but no, a week later and still waiting for a single response - total disgrace so now having to seek refund through PayPal! And I am still being told I just have to wait a response from the supplier!!! Total disgrace!! All I want is a replacement headboard - not difficult! Very very poor after sales!

Very poor online service, stated that bed would be back in stock within 7 days, they took payment and 3 weeks later after several very slow email replies still not in stock. Cancelled order in the end and ordered same bed from Argos and had it delivered next day with no problems. Please be aware that stock due date stated on website is nonsense.

Never will I recommend this firm to anyone!!! Ordered a mattress, would take a week to be delivered. In the mean time, received an email stating ... they are unsure if they’ll get anymore of this make of mattress in. The following day received a phone call stating .... it was in, must be a misunderstanding and it was definitely in and be out for delivery in the next few days. This miscommunication between their staff and head office is absolutely disgusting. Even give a delivery date and time!! You’ve guessed, received another phone call.. that it wasn’t in stock!!! I’m surprised this company is still trading.

Purchased one of Mattressman's own-brand mattresses, the "Duke" model in a custom size - had to return it as almost immediately went out of shape. Paid extra for a Hypnos mattress instead - it was too big. Co replaced it but, after a few weeks, began to shrink (sounds impossible, but it happened!). After having an expert from Hypnos review the mattress they agreed to supply another. This turned out to be a standard size one, so several inches too short and too narrow. Am now thoroughly fed up. Avoid these people!

We had our Mattress delivered today & can honestly say the service was excellent. We were kept informed all the way from ordering to delivery. Would highly recommend.

Shocking service. Be aware of the difficulty when dealing with this company and their delivery service. Despite assurances that my delivery date and timings were good - both via the phone text and email. I was suddenly told that the mattress I had paid for could not be delivered. Apparently the mattress was lost in the warehouse. As I had purchased the mattress for my elderly parents and as I had travelled some 60 miles to be there to accept the mattress I was somewhat frustrated. Trying to get through to the delivery depot and/or customer services at Mattress man is very difficult and therefore the frustration builds. Do not assume that things will go as expected!!

I was instructed by one of your colleagues 'Andy' that a director would be contacting me on Monday. He also said the director forwarded on his sincerest of apologies and would be calling me personally to apologise. Clearly this is not true if you are now dealing with it. I have lost all faith in your customer service team and if you actually read your teams emails and the history you would see that I have forwarded on the images of the damaged pieces on Friday evening to Gail Guy. They are both the same parts and are the end of the bed frame. This is so embarrassing how this has been dealt with and the fact that no one is contactable in your department over the weekend clearly shows that operationally your team is incapable. I had to sleep on a sofa on Friday evening and buy a new mattress with money I do not have on Saturday. A number of points I want addressed: When I made the order the address and date was incorrect and sent via email. I spoke to Mel who then proceeded to still put the incorrect information in. Why did I have to call and email every time to get any information. Not once have your team called me first to advise on any issues. When I did call to say the discount code didn't work, Mel told me it did and then later on realised I was still missing £9.95 off so had to issue a refund. I asked numerous times for the delivery to be on the 26th April and had to ask to confirm this 3 times. I also sent numerous emails asking to confirm the address and delivery date. I have an email from Wendy confirming the address (wrong postcode) and date to be delivered. This was after Mel told me she would call me the next day but failed to say she was on leave. Friday comes and I still have not been sent a tracking number for my orders. I get a phone call from the delivery driver at DX delivery and he states that the address is to go to my billing address and should never have been used. Luckily for Mattressman DX delivery drivers used their brains and switched at a local point to bring me the beds. Downside both the foot of the bedframes have cracks in them. While this is going on I am trying to get hold of Wendy who then turns to Gail Guy. I get another phone call from DX Delivery driver who is in Croydon and then says hes taking it back to the depot. Kayleigh at DX delivery calls me and says they cannot deliver today. (Friday) Saturday comes and I try to contact DX Delivery but office is closed, try to contact Mattressman and offfice is closed. Only until I put a review on Trust pilot that Kayleigh at DX calls me and says they have lost my order. Ian at DX Delivery Depot calls and reiterates this. I speak with Andy at Mattressman and he confirms that the Director at Mattressman will be contacting me on Monday as he was out with his children but to pass on his sincerest apologies. No Phone call ???? Your company have failed in every way possible to assist me and I am so disappointed in the service. I work in delivering large commercial planes to airlines and the fact that this company can not even deliver a mattress to a customer on time is beyond embarrassing. On top of that you have told me numerous lies that a director will contact me to keep me quiet so I do not go onto social media and ruin your reputation. This is extremely sad and to stoop this low is really quite terrible. I do not want to deal with Customer service and I expect this to be investigated fully and a full report sent to me. Furthermore, I want the Mattress refunded immediately and I want the beds to be considered as a refund also. This has been a terrible experience and what supposed to be an exciting weekend of me moving into a new flat has been completely ruined by your company and its staff! I look forward to your Directors response! This was written on Monday, still no response!

What a joke bought divan with expensive mattress about year and half ago. The first time I went to move it as it looked lopsided this morning the legs had snapped off. The quality is awful .on inspection they were rammed into holes that were like balsa wood you used to use at school. Don't buy from this company as you will definitely regret your purchase. They delivered originally to wrong flat. Wife had to go into someone else's flat and get them to take it out and deliver to us at the right address they didn't ask the tenant his name. Joke of a company buy at your peril

Seriously failed to deliver. Sent me on a 500-mile round trip wild goose chase, cost me a fortune in travel, and made me ill with stress, which I don't need as I already have a heart problem. Customer services rarely answer their phone and they play "pass the parcel" with you on email. Am raising a small claims action to get my money and my costs refunded.

I am so angry about the diabolical service I have received since ordering a bedframe and mattress from you on 11th Feb 2019. This was supposedly a next day delivery....what a joke! After many phone calls and being given lots of excuses my mattress and bedframe was delivered on 16th March with half the bed parts missing. I am still waiting for a resolution as the staff do not seem to know what they are doing. I will never use the awful company again.....

Appalling service. Sent two parts of two different beds. One a 3' Since, the other a small 4' double. Made five telephone calls over a 5 hour period only one was answered. No apology. Told to take photos and sent them in. Other 4 calls were made to chase progress on three emails sent to the MattressMan Customer Services Team. No replies. Four telephone calls not answered because either a 'high call volume' or the line was engaged. The bed was ordered on the 24th January. I still have not heard from the customer Services Team. I have asked about the arrangements to collect the incorrect bed parts. I have not heard anything as of today - Monday 4th February. Still waiting for a refund.

Ordered a single bed frame, instead got parts for a 4foot bed and a 3 foot bed so they are not compatible. Got through to Customer Services once but subsequently failed to answer the phone or e mails. Battling for a refund.

Damage on delivery, own brand GRAND DUKE matress failed badly (BOTH of the zip & link matresses), would not recommend Hi Megan, Can you confirm the collection date/time for the faulty mattress please. Am I correct in learning from your colleague that there is no good-will gesture for the inconvenience caused by your product THE GRAND DUKE (ie not being able to use the main bedroom since October and the severe back pain which triggered the whole investigation). Secondly, in terms of the refund – a minimal amount (£50?) was offset from my original invoice as compensation/goodwill due to the damage to the wall and ceiling caused during your delivery. Can you confirm timescale for the refund and also that the refund amount will still factor that compensation in (ie be the original amount not the amount minus the reduction). (07.01.2019) Update - 08.01.19 - NOT HAPPY with the inference in your TRUSTPILOT reply that i am asking for additonal money. Given the huge amount of trouble you guys have put us to, nevermind a trip to the doctors and now more time required off work to meet your collection guys we would have expected an offer of discount on a replacement AND and some sort of apology, not just the shalllow line of "we undertstand" and only performing your refund duties. Actions speak louder than words with customer service, terrible.

Order bed base in August first bed delivered wrong item, second bed also not what we ordered. Months of waiting. Never again.
