“Avoid avoid avoid. Offer a decent price (iPhone 13 pro max £445 then reduced it to £325 with a list of ‘problems’ - a phone always in case with screen protector. Said send it back to me and they offered £375 then £385 absolute chancers.. Do not send them your phone - use music magpie - much more honest”
“Beware. WBAP will attract you with the highest initial offer, then downgrade your phone’s valuation following inspection. My phone was downgraded from good to poor for “microscopic blemishes” on the casing. They told me it must be “absolutely perfect to be classified as good!”. Took a week to return it, sent it to Mazuma, who did not quibble about the good description. Very disappointing experience.”
“Same as many others on here. Offered me £50 for an iPhone X in good condition. This turned into ZERO pounds which I refused. They then offered £10.75 - the cost of returning the phone! Dreadful service - be warned”
“They offered my £81 for my great condition 128G iPhone XR - I stated it was in 'good' condition. They 'reviewed the condition of my phone' and told me it was worthless! They then charged me £10.75 to post it back which at least £7 more then the cost of Royal Mail. They also state in the small print that they will keep your phone if you don't respond in 5 working days. These guys are ripping people off! Avoid like the plague!”
“Absolutely awful phone selling experience a complete scam do not sent them your phone!! 140 pounds turned into 10 once they had it. Avoid at all costs plenty of honest companies give you plenty more and be nicer about it. 0 stars avoid”
“Absolutely nothing wrong with my iPhone 11, has a few minor marks on the screen but it’s not chipped or cracked, when they gave me the evaluation they said £143, I sent my phone off and they then offered me £43 lol, and charge £11 to send your phone back to you and aren’t in a hurry to do it either.. . absolutely rip off”
“Total Con - sent i phone 11 - been in a case since purchased not a mark on it - offered £186 - reviewed down to £40 for reasons I cannot fathom then charged £10.97 to have it returned! Scam - please don't waste your time or money”
“Awful customer service, promise you a price sent my phone off in perfect condition and then they send me photos of it scratched (which obviously happened whilst it was with them) but the won't accept liability. Just avoid this company at all costs because you will be conned!!!”
“CONNED by their original offer of £141 for my excellent condition iPhone. There was honestly not a mark on it, I even polished it before placing it in the original box. I looked in the light to ensure no screen marks. On arrival they then stated there was much wear and tear on the screen and back so offered me £26! I obviously said NO and then was charged £10.75 for return, which interestingly I was offered to be added to the valuation if I went ahead. I have reported to Rip Off Britain TV program and hope this company is called to order. And just to add insult on receiving it back there are now 3 scratches on the screen. AVOID at all costs. I could have got £86 at Argos but didn't do my due diligence, they blinded me and obviously people with the high value. Complete con artists. And I think their 66% on Trustpilot reviews must be bogus or just like me, the actual initial quote and return was very easy. It all goes wrong after they receive it.”
“Offered me £213 + £5 incentive then claimed phone was not as described. One of the issue was a scratched screen when the phone had a just had a brand new screen fitted so company is completely untrustworthy. Only offered me half of the original offer or insisted on charging me over £10 to return it - a small note mentioned in point 6.2 of their terms and conditions which were not readily displaced but no doubt squirrelled away somewhere just to cover themselves! Do not use!!”
“Con artists, offered 165 on line for my phone which is (or it best be) when it comes back, low and behold there is a problem, wear on the glass, I don't think so as it has worn a screen protector from day one, wear on the back, I don't think so as it has been in an armoured case from day one, wear on the side buttons, again total BS as its in an armoured case, I have pictures of the phone before being sent and more importantly the imei so it best be in the condition sent and best be the same phone too, avoid at all costs,”
“I sent of my iPhone 11 had a very small crack on top of phone they had quoted me 141 for it but then suddenly once they had it they said there was wear and tear on it which I always had front and back screen covers on it so only offered £20 was not happy when asked to send it back to me they tried to charge me £10.71 postage so was out of pocket once again please do not sell your phone to these people”
“Blaggers, not a chance that you will receive the quoted sale value they will find something no matter how small. If you don't take the offer good luck getting your device back.”
“Shocking company and wish I checked the reviews before sending it off to them. Offered £455 for iPhone 13 ProMax. I was offered £350 at some other smaller high street locations. Their supposed report says the mic was defective, but oddly never had any issues! Once received, webuyanyphone dropped the offer to £170 due to a barely visible "scratch" on the screen. I always have my phones in cases, and protected, and the phone was nearly new condition.
I wouldn't use this company again nor recommend them. I will sell my phone to CEX or elsewhere - even if I get less money, it's principle!”
“Similar experience to other reviewers, high offer, reduced after testing.
I was offered £466 for an iPhone 14 Plus which had been in a case with a screen protector all its life and I classed it in Good condition. Testing video shining a bright light over my phone allegedly showed some light marks on the back, bezels and more signs of use on screen, I could see nothing. However, condition was downgraded to Pretty Good with a reduced offer of £360 which I accepted as I couldn’t cope with any more hassle.
Also my bank details were passed to CyberSecurity for a trial of McAfee Multi Access with a direct debit of £4.95 a month starting 30 days time.
I would NEVER use this company again. AVOID at all costs.”
