“Quoted me £198 and then tried to drop this to £105 when my phone has zero damage to the naked eye. They then said £135 when I asked them to return my phone. I said no return the phone. They should ask you to send photos etc before wasting your time sending it off to them so they can knock you down on price and hope that you can't be bothered to have it returned. Do not use.”
“Was offered 177 pounds then offered 55 ,i asked for phone return and was charged 10.75 for this, but to make it worse they have put a passcode on the phone which i have no idea what it is ,totally useless!!!”
“I sent an as-new iPhone 14 Pro, still with the original screen protector and boxed so the brand new cable— not a mark, scuff or single issue with the phone— it had been used for one month before work issued me a work phone. The phone has been kept in the case and even had the original seal.
I posted the phone, paid for upgraded insurance of £750 and next day delivery with three lots of double wrap.
I was just informed there are slight marks on the screen, which there absolutely isn’t and a revised price of less than £100 than they offered.
The phone was brand new and in perfect condition.
I have now had a chance to review the reviews on here and other websites and it’s clear that they’re intentionally providing a higher price and on receipt of the phone offering a lower price knowing it’s not worth the hassle of returning the device.
The code provided by them showed no makes at all.
This service is a scam, and I am going to write a letter to the trading standards body this weekend as I feel there is anther evidence with this website and other reviews that they’re reading in bad faith.”
“Offered £150 for iPhone 11 reduced to £63 saying wear and tear in casing. There was none . No obvious we to contact them to get phone returned. Avoid.”
“Sent away my S22 Ultra in excellent condition for nearly £400 they quoted. Waited a few days and ‘urgent action’ was required. I phoned them and they basically said I had lied about the condition because there was marks on the screen. I asked if they had removed the screen protector- they said no. Apparently unless I accepted their reduced offer, they aren’t allowed to remove screen protectors. They offered me over £300 less than originally. They offered me £70 for a phone in excellent condition!! And to add to insult I had to pay £10 for them to send my phone back to me. 1000% avoid.”
“I used the guidance to rate my phone as "good" and got a quote of £139 so I sent it off. The response I got was a video of NOT MY PHONE, a judgement of "damaged" and a revised quote of £10. My phone is a Samsung and the video was of an Apple phone so I immediately emailed them and they said they'd pause the transaction and get me a quote with my actual phone. After 30 days I hadn't heard anything so I emailed them and they replied with a video of my phone showing there are some scratches on the screen (I hadn't noticed them) but they said the original judgement of "damaged" was still justified. I looked up the terms and conditions and having some imperceptible scratches on the screen could demote it to "pretty good" but not damaged. My phone isn't broken it works fine, I just got an upgrade. I queried how they came to this conclusion and they said the original assessment stood because it was in such bad condition - I honestly don't know what phone they were looking at for that assessment but it can't have been my phone. I accepted that it might not be worth the full £139 but I pointed out the original assessment had been done on the wrong phone and asked them to reassess it or send it back to me. They said no to reassessing it and asked me to pay to get it sent back. They quoted the terms and conditions about a fee to return the phone if the quote isn't accepted. So I quoted the part of the terms and conditions where they say they are liable for negligence which is exactly what they've been. They have sent it back to me without a fee. My phone has arrived back way more scratched than it was when I sent it off and I do not recommend anyone using this company at all. I would always take anyone saying their phone was in good condition with a grain of salt, because of course people would want as much as they can get right? In this instance they took a phone that worked fine and matched all the criteria of "pretty good" and tried to get me to accept it was "damaged" and in the process they lost my phone for a month and have returned it in a worse condition than it was sent. Absolutely not worth the time.”
“Disgusting company do not use daughter sent phone we valued on 3 websites and all valued about the same. And as everyone else says they Try it on and offer way less. We won't be accepting their pitiful offer and we will be taking this further.”
“Was offered £151 for my iPhone 12 mini which was in excellent condition’ however after they checked it and sent some video of a badly scratched phone offering me £80 which I refused and asked for the phone to be returned.
The company are absolute scammers who have no intention of paying the price quoted’ would recommend to anyone do not send these absolute scammers your phone as the obviously send videos of some old phone and try to fob you off with a lower price. Absolutely shocking they can get away with this.”
“Offered £295 for iPhone 12 Pro in good condition, sent the phone in and received a revised quote for £195 due to wear on the rear glass and screen also wear to bezel (rear glass was replaced by apple two months ago) I would stay away from them as they are just scamming people , hoping they accept the low ball amount offered because they dont want to mess around getting their phone back for £10!”
“Complete Scammers. Sent off a brand new phone and having offered me £150, they told me it was worth £20... They then said they were sending it back for a £10 charge! Absolute joke, and the fact they sign you up to a direct debit is ridiculous.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
This company should be taken down given how many people they have clearly scammed!”
“Absolute Jokers
Essentially there business model is :- Quote High>>>>>> Test model and pick up any minor mark and kick it in the nuts>>>>>>New Valuation and get you all excited that we will pay you your reduced fee that day.
Knowing most people cannot be arsed to have phone sent back.
Essentially rob your phone for a silly price.
Do not use as they will find annnnnnnny excuse not to pay you the full amount. Avoid like the plague. I just hope I’ve saved other people from the experience we have had. Rob dogs.”
“Absolute crooks.
I was offered £152 for my phone in ‘good’ condition, which it was, sent it in and they came back with a counter offer of £25. When I asked for my then back they said it would cost &10 to send it back… but would I settle for £35?
I’m sure they will comment on this about their rigorous testing process or ‘honesty policy’ or some other such nonsense below this… but the truth of the matter is, they never had any intention of paying what they said they would - and in fact their whole business model is built on this bait and switch approach.”
“I quite agree with the last review.
SCAMMERS gave me a price of £150, I sent the iPhone to them and they revised their offer to 50% of their original offer.
I insisted they return my device”
“Scam! Offered £91 for iPhone XR in perfect condition then dropped the offer to £40 when they received it. Sent a dodgy video of a phone that wasn’t even mine saying it was damaged. Upped the offer by £10 but I had them return the phone to me. Avoid!!! Scammers !”
“DO NOT GIVE BANK DETAILS :Complete scam was looking to sell my phone so got a quote there was an option to opt in for a free trial of McAfee anti-virus but omitted. Got an email a couple of days later thanks for accepting the trial and setup a direct debt”
“ABSOLUTE SCAM
They offer far more than what they eventually end up giving. i was offered £270 for my iPhone 11, i sent it off and they go on about how it doesn't reach their standard and counter off me £55. i obviously decline and they make me pay £10.75 PP.
AVIOD AT ALL COSTS”
“Avoid At all costs!
They have used another phone and sent a video saying it is mine. I have photograph and video evidence of original which proves the have used another.”
“Absolute scam! Was offered nearly £400 for my iphone 13 pro max which is in excellent condition. Theyve sent me a video of a phone which is not mine with scratches all over it and a chipped camera. Now offering me £145?! Wish I read reviews as I now have to pay for them to return my phone, hoping they actually return my one and not the faulty one theyve sent videos of. Avoid at all costs!!!”
“AVOID this awful company they offered £328 for my phone then said it didn’t match their grading which it did and provided a video where they had made the phone look really dirty and offered £180 i declined so they then want £10.75 to return the phone they are crooks and best avoided”
“Absolute scam. Offered £222. Sent the phone and they said the front is covered in scratches. It’s had a glass cover on since purchase. They then offered £55. I now have to pay £10.75 to get it back
