Still haven't received my order and it's been over 3 weeks. I will never order from this site again.

Absolute abysmal customer Service! first lesson in dealing in sales, - customers do not like to be repeatedly lied to, to cover incompetence! A1gifts Customer Service would not know how to admit their failings in despatch if they were paid to do so, then have the audacity to ask for a review, -not once but twice. Could seriously do with training on how to package and send expensive delicate Crystal items through the mail service, my parcel arrived in a condition a charity shop would not accept, yes that bad, and a miracle it survived! A tatty several times used cardboard box with 3 lots of different old parcel tape from at least 3 previous mailings, with old Royal Mail signed for labels -even though it came through next day Private courier service, (after several enquiries on its non Friday despatch -hence the lies) On my confirmation email it had not only my invoice address, but the completely different FULL address details of another customer in greater London as delivery address! The reason give was ''it didn't matter as they actually wrote despatch address by hand, my parcel would come to me" -so if to are Data Protection conscious, consider looking elsewhere The only positive about this company is that the products they sell are quite good, so if they get their Sales staff retrained in good customer service, and a new packing department organised it may become A1 to warrant its name. Ordered my good for express Saturday delivery today is Monday and I have not received my goods as what I ordered was a birthday gift ideas no longer need it. What a very poor service

As it is a week since placing my order and heard nothing since the order confirmation email, I am very disappointed in the service. I am hoping it arrives before the weekend. I think you need to be better in relaying information .

HI, Thank you for your review. The personalised item you have ordered can take up to 72 hours in production. It is dispatched yesterday from another warehouse of ours. An email has been sent confirming dispatch day and estimated delivery date. If there is anything else we can help you with please let us know. Many Thanks A1Gifts

Photo frame sent in a Jiffy bag so when it was delivered it was smashed. Email response was quick and promising as they promised to send out a replacement that same day so I would receive it the next day. No sign of the replacement frame as its already 2 days late!

made an order of a personalised mug , when it arrived it wasnt personalised even though the order form asked for name I wanted on inscription

Hi Susan, thank you for your review. Unfortunately the mug you have ordered was a non personalize mug and you placed the name in the gift tag option therefore we were unaware that you wanted this engraved. An email was sent asking if you wanted a personalized mug instead which we can process for you, we are still able to do that if you wish. We will contact you again very shortly. Absolutely rubbish. Don't use them. I am still waiting after a week. I've always used Getting Personal but thought I would give this shower a try. Never again. No responses to e-mails either.

To be honest, I cant really rate this service since I still haven't had my item delivered. I ordered it last Friday via internet , I haven't received a email confirming my order,(only a reference number was shown at the end of my purchase, which I have as proof) I have had money taken from my bank account for the item, and the only contact I have had from this company was to rate their service! I have just read that I now have to check with my local post office in case that my item was tried to be delivered, but the postman had maybe forgotten to leave me a card. And the company is only open Monday-Friday.(Cant believe this...esp as this is the run up to Christmas!...surely they would be busy to get orders out?????)

Made an online order for 50th birthday gift with no problems. After 4 days gift had not been received, phoned A1 for feedback and was told order had not gone through the system? Order re submitted and 7 days later still not received?? Another phone call reveals once again order did not proceed even though it was manually submitted by girl in office. Apologies from A1 and order submitted a 3rd time, this time successful but still took another 5 days to reach the required person. No apologies from A1, no feedback during the problems, if I had not phoned as to why we had not received the gift I would still be waiting. Would NEVER use this company again.

Thank you for your feedback of which we take all comments on board. We are very sorry that there were issues with your order, unfortunately the manufacturer that produces the item you ordered were experiencing some technical difficulties that we were not aware of. Your order did not import in to their system as it should and even when the order was manually placed they still did not receive it. It did take some time to get this order across to them and we apologise for this delay. This was a one of issue that we have not experienced since. Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay and inconvenience and we hope that you were happy with your purchase when you finally received it.

Ordered an golden anniversary clock. Clock was fine, delivery was on time. When I phoned my relatives to wish them happy golden anniversary they asked "did you send us a present?" yes I replied. "Was it a clock?" .."yes".." we wondered who it was from" I replied there should be a card with a message on it. Their reply " there is a blank gold gold on the outside of the gold wrapping, but no message" It,s not the 25p extra they charge for the card and message, its the service they are selling and failed.

Received a personalised wine with a piece of junk newspaper. The picture on the website is of vintage style. There are companies which would print newspaper in the vintage style. However, this company only provides junk newspaper. When asking for an exchange, not the personalised wine, but the newspaper part, the sales assistant names hayley refused with sarcastm, saying the newspaper is not going to look like the vintage style because the date is not 1930s. Rude service with misleading picture. Would not recommend people to buy from such a company.

Thank you for your feedback of which we are very sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the product you have received, however this item is not junk newspaper it is an original newspaper from your chosen date. The reply you received was not at all sarcastic or rude, we apologise if you felt it was, it was only intended to explain that as these newspapers are originals and not printed copies and that an older paper from 1930's etc would look more vintage than an 8 week old newspaper. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges on personalised items unless there is a fault. On this occasion as you have received exactly what was ordered and there is no fault we would not be able to change it. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

You sent me a defective Galileo thermometer that you would not accept back as a return. I had put it away until my husband's birthday without noticing one of the weights was detached from one of the globes. My husband opened his present, wondering why it did not work, then noticed what the problem was. I contacted you straightaway but you refused to make a refund. I might have had the thermometer in storage for about 3 weeks before my husband's birthday. I was forced to by another one so as not to disappoint my husband. I asked for a refund on the first thermometer, explaining the situation, but so far I have received no response. I think that a deadline of 3 days for any returns to be made is extremely short and your response is less than sympathetic. I would not do business with you again or recommend you to anyone for your poor approach to customer satisfaction. Glenys Kitto

Thank you for your feedback of which we take all comments on board. As per our T&C's we need to be informed of faulty products within 3 days of receiving the item, we would then request an image to be sent and we would issue a replacement or refund. Unfortunately if we are contacted almost a month after the item was ordered to advise of a fault we are not obliged to replace or refund the item. We apologize for the inconvenience caused and advise that all deliveries are checked when received so any fault or damage in transit can be reported and resolved.

I placed my order for a birthday gift for a 96 year old relative... it is now the 25th August and it has not arrived. I needed this for the 28th August. Will never use this company again! Yet my card was debited immediately and this review was sent to me soon after !

Thank you for your feedback of which we are very sorry to hear that your order has taken longer to arrive than you expected. When ordering personalised items we do advise that the production time should be taken in to consideration as well as the delivery time. In this case the production time is up to 5 working days with delivery time of 2-4 working days, also there has been a bank holiday weekend during this time which would delay the delivery another day. All orders are paid for at the time of ordering and we send emails for reviews as we do take pride in keeping our customers happy and use their feedback to do so.

Super web site, will definitely look again when I need some inspiration for gifts, there's lots of good ideas if your stuck as to what to get someone. Delivery was quick and order was correct and we'll packaged. Will be using again.

Thank you for your feedback of which we are sorry that you feel you have had a bad experience when using our company, however we resolved this with a full refund as soon as images of the product was received. Your order was a personalised item that was dispatched directly from the manufacturer and not seen by us prior to dispatch which is why we ask for an image of any damage or faults to be emailed to us. We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused.
