I sold my home. When I contacted AA to advise, all my details were taken and I was told it was sorted. I was then called back and told that, as I had rung more than a month in advance, it wasn't sorted after all, and I would have to call back within a month of wanting to cancel the policy. When I rang back, I had to go through everything again, as the details of the previous call had not been saved. I had to call again today, having received an email advising of the renewal of the home policy. I also queried the fact that on 21 October the full monthly payment was taken from my account. I was then told that once the payment was received at your end, I would receive a credit and that this should have been explained during my previous calls....it wasn't mentioned in either. Not impressed with the lack of customer service.

They will only support you unless you need them! We bought a travel insurance from them. the flight dates were somehow input wrongly which weren’t matching our flight tickets dates (both insurance and tickets were bought on the same day). The flight agency which turn out to be just like our insurance company canceled our flight 3 days before the flight. We had to buy new tickets which cost us 2000$ more. We called AA and told them what happened and while it was crystal clear from our evidence that the input dates of the insurance were wrong, they used that against us and ignored our claim. The worst part was that they were quite rude and weren’t even sympathetic with us that showed their true self. We canceled all our other insurances with them right away!

I would highly recommend AA car insurance to any new customer. As a customer I recently spoke to Fin who was very helpful, friendly and professional. He was able to give me a wide range of options that would meet my needs and budget. I would rate AA a well deserved 5/5 and I am positive you be met a great team of staff. Thank you Fin.

Contents insurance full of clauses and not really content inaurance. Robbed us slowly of what we thought we would be insured for. No desire to meet half way or anything.

Amanda from the call centre was amazing -It was a Friday afternoon and I was rear-ended at a red light Amanda was fantastic she had my car booked in at the Service Centre for the following Tuesday, had organised a rental car for me as well as a free uber to take me to collect it. Dropped my car off at the service centre as scheduled and was given a rental from there instead as there was one available it was a 2022 Kia Stonic so very painless from start to finish. Was told 7-10 days and was updated regularly via text. My car was ready 6 days later with a phone call I was told I could collect my car that day. Picked it up, took 10 mins & the paperwork was on the seat and my car was like new again. If I was going to nitpick my one and only complaint would be that my car was not cleaned (the outside was polished) but I have had repair work done before and the car has had a valet service but apart from that it was as painless and non-stressful as you could get. Thank you very much.

Big ups to Daniel Masters tonight for helping us with Funeral Insurance. He was so knowledgeable, and hubby and I felt fully informed and comforted in the knowing that we could proceed with the joint insurance policies straight away. And the bonus was that we could add Accidental insurance which we gladly did. thank you so much for the impeccable service. We would like to nominate you for sales consultant of the month of June 2023. Cheers Maria & Calum

Could not be worse. Had sudden water damage, they refused to send an assessor and have flip flopped literally 6 times over whether they will cover the claim (even though their own contractor has said its definitely sudden water damage). They refuse to even tell me when they will make a decision or how they will make a decision. Not only that but they told their builder to put all the work on hold so the walls and framing are being left wet, increasing the damage to my house.

Bought a car brand new off the lot 10days later we get side swiped by someone. Car is a written off as a total loss and the other party's insurance assumed 100% liability. The problem I have with AA is they kept my 12month prepaid insurance as a premium even though it wasn't my fault. If it wasn't my fault why am I paying anything at all? AA should be recouping all costs and expenses from the other Insurance company that claimed liability. I didn't ask to be hit in my car. AA you're supposed to represent your customers not line your pockets with our money. I have since gone with State Insurance.

Where would me and my car be if it wasn’t for AA. Sitting in a paddock somewhere rusting away. Omg I have very little knowledge about cars, and AA has been there every time I make that phone call for help. I would be lost without you AA. Thumbs up to you AA Member Karyn M

Actually I would like to give zero star to AA . I had some issues with AA . When I called AA 2 times for my car , but it didn’t work at all . And they haven’t gave correct diagnoses for car problems. They just changed battery , but still same situation. Then I decided to bring my car to the mechanic shop by AA’s towing. So I booked the towing 5days before at AA . They confirmed that time and the day in the morning. And also they recommended the best time to book towing before the starting the traffic.so I booked at 3 pm that is according from AA. But at that day they didn’t come on time . Finally I called AA to ask the situation . they said they can’t come or might come evening because of busy situations . if they come in the evening, the mechanic shop will be closed. I already booked the mechanic shop for it and arrange my schedule also. It was not acceptable situation.

Had 2 issues with a camper van that led to the intervention of AA. Both times the announced intervention duration was off and the intervention delayed. The second time, the intervention was announced within an hour. Two hours later, I called back. They said they would call the team to check ETA. They announced an intervention 20 minutes later. One hour later, I called back. They announced an intervention 15 minutes later. When I complained that the times they gave us were hard to trust, they answered in a very annoyed way that there were delays in my area, which they had not announced at any point during prior conversations. All this was particularly difficult to deal with since the break down occurred in an area without cellular reception. I had to hitch hike my way back and forth to a point with cellular reception, each time leaving my 3 kids and wide behind. I explained this on the phone but received only an annoyed reaction (a realistic ETA would have saved 4 hitch-hiking trips). In the end, the issue (overheating brakes) was benign and could likely have been diagnosed on the phone.

I have had a few issues with AA insurance. The first is that the motorhome contents insurance only covers $2000 worth of damage. When my puppy did $5000 worth of damage the insurance didn't even cover the cost of the laptop. The $400 excess is a bit much and when the exterior of the vehicle was damaged in the carwash I had to go to the service station and lay a face to face complaint with the manager to get it covered. For a person with social anxiety this is out of the question. I never followed through with it so the repairs were never done. I also found out that the insurance doesn't cover mechanical breakdowns only accidents. When I asked to cancel my insurance the man told me I would get $101 back but that never showed up in my account. I am a little disappointed in my experience with the AA.
