“So sad I try to support this local store but when the manager has such an indifferent, cold, arrogant attitude I ask myself WHY? One of the main items I purchase at Lutz Ace is armadillos repellant pellets. I use the coupons and rewards $ I receive from all my purchases. So June 2, I put in an online order for 4 bags of the pellets. I know they sell out of it fast and only stock 1 bag, however I assumed they would just order it and call me when my 4 bags came in on Thursday as in the past. I received an email soon after indicating the order was cancelled. So I called the store and talked with them about it. I also asked if my coupons would be “restored” bc there was no indication of that or if I would be losing the $25 rewards and coupons - to no fault of my own. The man who answered was so kind he told me to come in with a paper copy of the $20 off $100 and they would take care of that and my $5 reward I earned and had applied to this order. Went to the store and talked to someone at the check out desk…he said there was nothing he could do about the situation bc he has nothing to do with the website??? I told him I called THE STORE not a number on the website and was told to come in they’d take care of the situation - that’s when he arrogantly informed me that he was the manager and he has nothing to do with the website. Questions: Aren’t they both Ace Hardware and wasn’t the online order cancelled bc he didn’t have 4 bags in the store?? If that is the case then yes he does have something to do with this and could have told me to wait or to go home while he called to see what could be done. BUT NO. He had no desire to try resolve this. It was so frustrating that he just said the same thing over and over thinking I didn’t understand - yes I understood - he wasn’t willing to go above and beyond to try resolve this situation - Management 101. Especially when this was no fault of my own! BTW He would have gladly order 4 new bags today for June 3 without resolution or the other option he said was to wait until next month to get my new coupons and rewards???”

“Took 10 days for us to be able to pick up mower,I indicated that I wanted it assembled. It was not , at least they took the 25 $ of the bill,but I wanted to avoid hassle of putting it together. Why even offer service if you're not going to provide it....never again”

“I purchased a Oregon chain saw from Ace. The price online for pickup was $22.69. When i got to the store, the tag on the shelf was $22.69. When i got to the register, the price was $26.99. Be careful of bait-n-switch. I put a review on the Ace website. They deleted it. I won't purchase from Ace again. SCAM.”

“We rented a rototiller from your Linglestown store. The one blade came off when we tried to use it. It didn't dig very well and this was ground that was already dug up from last year. The young guy who waited on me when I returned in right after this happened was very argumentative and blamed me for breaking the blade. He only gave me half my money back. I wouldn't recommend renting anything from your store since we were treated this way.”

“This is the worst experience from a rude an obnoxious cashier that refused to give me her name. Located at 125 west third st. When u asked for a manager she said oh my god there ain’t none available. What a disgrace obviously they don’t train their employees.”

“Stopped by Ace in Durango again and Chris saw me right away, called me by name with a big smile and asked me how I was enjoying my new Ego snow blower, which I absolutely love. I even got a credit on my electric bill. Then he helps me find everything on my shopping list, along with an new Ego lawn mower with a huge rebate discount and a ton of info about Ego kit discounts. This is the BEST customer service I've experienced since I moved to Durango, last year. Thank you Ace for hiring this guy and thanks again and kudos to Chris !”

“I ordered a bag of grass seed on line, but I didn't change the pick-up location to Midland. When I stopped in to pick up my order, Brooke realized my mistake, and asked me to pull up my ACE app on my phone, to vancel and re-order the seed. I wasn't sure how to proceed, so Brooke took my phone and canceled the order. She then sold me the same bag of grass seed, and honored my $10 coupon. Thank you Brooke, it's employees like you who keep me coming back to ACE whenever I have a home project.”

“Approximately three years ago I come into the new Aces hardware store on Indian Trail in Spokane, Washington. I was kinda excited, it was kind of a new store. However, it was built-in an awkward place in West and should not have been built there. If I was a inspector planner. I would never allow that building to be built there. On our proximately 3 to 4 years ago I walked into aces hardware. I asked them if they could help me and every person at work here was not experience. I felt like I wish i'd gone to get. They helped I needed it even finding a part that had to do with sprinkler repair painting brushes anything.. Don't expect help get aces hardware. This is what you'll get when you get at Ace's hardware. Excuse me, sir, can you help me find a paint brushes that will work For acrylic application. At 22 0 girl goes. Yeah, yeah, and she falls me. And we go to the paintbrushes She knows nothing and directs me incorrectly several times I left I came back to get some sprinkler repair kits to rebuild my sprinkler. They directed me in correctly again. In one individual I really noticed was a extremely high-dose of violence and judgement. His name was zero, he had tattoos and he was very rude mental capacity of maybe a 10 year old. I asked him if he could help me get to sprinklers. Repair kit, and this is what he said. Duh the da da Dada. We don't want you duh in the store anymore. Because you're smarter than we are, and we don't feel comfortable. Show me You are smarter than us, and we know. We're really dumb We asked you not to come back to this store. Because you're showing us that we're really stupid. And we don't like that show, sir. Do you not come back to the store? And make us look dumb even though you know, more than us. I'm, i'm thinking for a minute. Wait a second, you're gonna tell me not to come back to the aces hardware store on Indian Trail. Because you don't know anything about your. You're merchandise in the store, and I'm no more than you. So you're gonna kick me out? I wasn't rude, I'm honest. In my judgement, you do not wanna go to this store. Unless you want to get in, feel really sad 😔 😟 🙁 😥 You're the worst Store I've ever been to regarding hardware. I wanna hear about the story down on Francis. On Indian Trail aces, it even gets worse. They're so immature there's no growth upstairs no brain 🙄 Alert alert do not go to aces hardware stores. Unless you're a really in an emergency, and even if you are don't buy and spend money, they're in support. A corrupt store of racism go to I suggest home depot. Let's stay away from aces unless you're mental. Everything I say is factual I do not lie. I am a christian aces is the worst don't go Don't spend your money here go somewhere else thank you”

“I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this store. As a small business owner myself, I was dismayed to be followed around the premises, which felt like an undue suspicion of my intentions. Upon researching further, I discovered numerous similar complaints from other customers, suggesting that this is a recurring practice by the owner. It's unfortunate that one cannot shop comfortably without feeling harassed. I initially missed that the store is listed under 'Ace Gardens' on Havana rather than 'Ace Hardware'. Had I read these reviews earlier, I would have chosen not to patronize this business. After identifying that the store owner Alex Headley was the person following me, and realizing this behavior might be profiling, I am considering taking further action”

“Beware of this stores "NO RETURN POLICY ". Even though their corporate policy is 30 day. This store refused to honor the policy. Here is what happened I bought a gas trimmer, used it once and was not satisfied with performance. Went in store to return it (in couple weeks), they flat out refused. I can understand that as these folks are fairly new and too many returns would hurt their business. And me especially living right across I would definitely love to support them. So I asked for alternatives: a.) Can I get a store credit: answer was NO b.) Sir can I upgrade to another trimmer that is pricier: answer was NO c.) I really hate this product, I will just have to sell it in craigs list for 50% discount; do I have any other options: The manager turned into a robot and flat out refused. Talk about customer service, this store would "ACE" it. I had used this store for all my needs against my better judgement to shop in Big Box stores that are couple miles away. There goes my business.”

“We used the ace on Havana and Ironton St. in Aurora CO. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!! They were suppose to repair our screens. The first try the screens were separating from the frames, all 5 screens. We took them back. Then they blamed us for there shotty work. Yes, true story. They blamed us. Now that is Very bad business. There screens. What the ---- !!!!. Well we left them for a repair of THERE SHOTTY work. 2 weeks later never called. We went in THEY were snotty again (the manager). So we will try AGAIN today. OH THESE PEOPLE ARE BAD !!!!!”

“KUDOs to the staff at ACE Hardware Store on the Island. I needed a ceiling medallion cut in half. As a DIY always helping a neighbor, I know I can always find everything there. Roger referred me to Ron. What a talented team they have at this store, always willing to offer a helping hand. The staff are always very professional. Oh, my and find so many other. things to purchase. Keep up the magnificent work ethics everyone, you’re the “BEST”.”

“I am a long time customer of ACE hardware. Since the past few visits, I have an unpleasant experience. Today was my worst experience. I trust the ACE key section. Their price is comparatively high but I was considering that they are experts in making duplicate keys. Now I changed my mind. I believe they engaged some untrained employees who don't know how to make the duplicate keys. Today around 8:20 am I visited 5331 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46241 ACE store. I want them to make two copies of a regular key. I brought the lock with me to make sure if the duplicate keys work. The lady took my key and spent 2-3 minutes to find the proper key. After she made the duplicate key she realized that she didn't use the proper key. She threw that key in the trash, and checked the chart, and used another key. Her way of working was indicating that she is not trained properly. Finally, she handed over the duplicate keys to me. When I checked the key with my lock it was not working properly. I have to make efforts to align the key in the lock, and after multiple attempts, it made it possible to open the lock. I showed her that the key is not good. She insisted that the key is good. I showed her that I cannot open the lock with the duplicate key, whereas the original key works with the first attempt. I asked her if she is a new employee. She says no. Looks like my question irritated her. I have a few more original keys, and I want her to make more duplicate keys. She bluntly refused to make another key for me. I have to leave the ACE store without getting my job. I believe this is not her fault. Actually, she was not trained properly and she does not know how to perform customer service. I am extremely unsatisfied with my visit.”
